Great craft beer pub with so many awesome taps to choose from. Gets packed, so get there early or book ahead. Share plates and small bites are perfect for a session of beer tasting, and there are bigger plates for those that come hungry!Food: 5/5
An impressive selection of ales in this pub. I had two different Purity ales, and would recommend that you try a bit before you buy. The bartender's recommendation was spot on regarding his opinion on the better ale. The only disappointment was that cash is not accepted. Quite annoying if you've withdrawn cash earlier.
Couldn’t decide where to go to decompress after a long week and walked past this place so decided to give it a try. The beer selection was phenomenal and we were very happy with the choices we made. The staff were friendly and I love the atmosphere - not too rowdy and you are able to talk normally without having to shout at one another. The food was ok. Was definitely impressed with the runny yolk in the scotch egg but to be honest, if I wasn’t told that it’s duck, I’d never have been able to tell. It was like any other meat and for the price, I kind of expected it to be a little better. However, a good bar snack nonetheless to go with a couple of good pints.
Very good beer centrally located near Victoria square. They have a fine selection of craft beer from Purity and a board with tasting notes etc. All reasonably priced as well. Nice premises with good range of small and large tables. Friendly staff. Certainly now on my regular list.Service: 5/5
Always a great Sunday dinner. Purity gold was amazing. Nice and quiet for a Sunday chill. Food was spot on. Fish may have been a bit smaller than expected but still full of flavour. Really nice of the friendly team to let us take our bikes in whilst we dined.
A staple location for my friendship group from work. Good selection of liquids, great kitchen and cozy atmosphere. Always the backup for when I don't know if someone visiting likes a specific cuisine.Food: 5/5
Gets the combination of doing food and beer right. Make sure you get their pork scratchings, quality. Had just gone in for beers and scratchings but the food looked and smelled very good so shared a schnitzel and chips. It was top notch. Go in regularly for beers but will make sure I eat again. Service was excellent as well.
Great choice of beers and the food is perfect to accompany a couple of beers on an afternoon. Food is a little pricey, but not out of the range of local restaurants in this area. I am however, really hoping they bring back the normal scotch eggs they used to have on the menu, currently they only have a venison scotch egg which is a little too rich for my taste and pretty expensive at £9.50 for a 'small plate' menu item. I tried the Catharina Peach Melba which is slightly sour and was perfect for a sunny afternoon! It can get a little busy here on the weekends, however there is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Wheelchair accessibility: There are steps at the entrance, however they have a small ramp right behind the main door so quick wheelchair accessibility shouldn't be an issue.
Many beers and alcohol beverages on the menu, the food tastes great and is well prepared, and the waiter is very friendly.Food: 5/5
This place should have a higher score but there is just something about the atmosphere. It's a bit austere and cold. The seating doesn't help. The beers themselves are fine. Price is ok for town as well. Sub £6 for most of the selection. Food, especially the bar snacks are delicious but on the expensive side for what you get. The whole pork pie and scotch egg needs a little refresh as well but do taste great.
