The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Paddington and that, like many of the hotels in this area,is probably is best feature. I had a four person room only room available. As a solo traveller I felt cramped, I struggle to see four people with any luggage in this room. It was a very small ensuite with a shower cubicle. Breakfast was included. It was continental only. There is limited seating all set us as four person tables about 6 or 7 altogether. When the tables were occupied the staff directed people waiting to fill up those tables. It was all a bit awkward. Getting toast, which is done by the staff is a bit hit or miss so you may need to chase them, be prepared, they really don't care! Not somewhere I would recommend, if you can afford to stay elsewhere.
The hotel is clean and quite convenient for travel since it's close to the Paddington station. Breakfast is also provided. The reception staff are very kind and friendly. If you stay during the summer and want to use the air conditioning, there is a charge of £5 per hour, and you need to call the staff to turn it on. Rooms: Clean Nearby activities: Hyde park Walkability: Nearby Paddington Station Food & drinks: Good Breakfast
Great location, hotel not far from paddington station. Close walk to Hyde park. Local area plenty of eating places. Hotel room clean. bathroom is ok size. Could do with a bit more toiletries. Continental breakfast included. The only hot item there was hard boiled egg. Would be nice if at least half boiled or other selection of hot breakfast included too .
Rude staff. Rooms very small and bedding not great and breakfast not 3* . Bathroom very small in a room for 3. You could hear the person next door when they coughed. Stuffy room, small single pane timber sash window. Would never stay here again.Rooms: 1/5
ONE STAR HOTEL. LOTS OF BETTER CHOICES AROUND. The room is very small, like a cage. No tee/coffee in the room, so you have to go downstairs for a cup of bad quality tea. The aircon has been disabled. There is a labele on it saying contact reception for activation. When I asked reception to activate it, they said we have not started it yetand and I can talk to the manager in the morning if I want. If I open the window, it's too noisy, and mosquitos come in. The bed is very low quality and uncomfortable. Woollen blanket with no duvet, feels not clean, I'm already itching. It's no surprise if I find mite, lice, or something similar. It feels very bad, really. There is no shampoo and shower gel, I had to ask for it, and they said, "Come downstairs and get it! Finally, they brought it to my room, and this is what I gotphoto I paid £120 for this room. I could have booked a room in a much better hotel with the same price, in the same area. The only good thing about this hotel I the location, for me. This is my first and last stay in this hotel.
I have just spent 7 nights at Olympic House Hotel & this was my second visit. The bathrooms in the this area are tiny but I had a great shower every day. My bed was comfy and the room was a nice size. I received cleaned towels every second day. The location is perfect. I was never afraid to walk around the area. Andrea and her Mother Yaya were lovely to talk to. I would stay there again if I returned to London .
It was my second visit there. The room are a bit small but I have seen smaller. Still this hotel is very well located. 5 min walk to Paddington station.Rooms: 3/5
I would give it a 5 star if the breakfast had at least a few more options, even just adding one fruit option would make a huge difference. The room was the perfect size for a single person. It was also very warm which I enjoyed, the the level of heat can be changed. The shower was good and they also provide a hairdryer. Yes it can be noisy, but doesn’t everyone travel with earplugs? No kettle in the room, so don’t expect to be able to make a tea. The location is really good - 5 min away from Paddington Station and surrounded by good restaurants.
Perfect for solo travelers! Overall cleanliness was spot on! Private bathroom and shower a huge plus for me, since i would never stay at a place that has shared bathrooms NEVER!!. Location is perfect, a couple of minutes away from Paddington station. Rooms are just the right size, a bit on the small side of the scale. Great value for money. Staff were amazingly friendly. I stayed at room 305, for two nights, definitely coming back for future stays, and would definitely recommend it to anyone! I didn’t have any breakfast, cuz i like to eat out at my own convenience, so I can’t review breakfast. Im 183 cm tall, and found the space fairly convenient! Rooms have no A/C, but were really warm and cozy. I don’t know about summer, but for winter visit, its perfect. Rooms: Small but serving the purpose Nearby activities: Wide range of restaurants nearby at Edgware road
Well, this was different. Reception was a bit strange, slow check in and some language difficulties, not particularly welcoming tbh. However, the room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and the bathroom, whilst small, had a fantastic shower and plenty of freshly laundered towels. No tea/coffee facilities in the room, but available 24 hours at Reception. Continental breakfast in a basement room, basic but perfectly acceptable. Lovely lady serving down there, very friendly and helpful. Very quiet location, felt safe, no traffic noise, close to Paddington Station. Overall a good budget hotel, don't be put off by the Reception/Receptionist. Would stay again. Rooms: Twin bedded room was spotlessly clean, comfy beds, slept with windows open as warm night and remarkably quiet. TV we didn't use, ample wardrobe/drawer space. Small bathroom, again spotless with really excellent shower. Close to lift. Safety: Felt very safe, walked from Station late at night after West End Show, shops still open and people about. Well lit, yet quiet area. Walkability: Very close to Paddington Station, 5 minute walk. Food & drinks: Limited to be fair. Continental breakfast was toast, jams/ marmalade etc. Choice of two cereals, ham & cheese slices and hard boiled eggs. Tea, coffee, water & tasteless orange juice. Perfectly adequate for us, as don't eat much in morning. Service at breakfast excellent, lovely lady. The tea/coffee area in reception would benefit from a receptionist who had better manners if l am being honest.
