You really can't fault the incredible hard work that is required to feed hundreds 300 a day normally, on a Sunday 1,000 of people a day. We had a choice of 4 meats with a plethora of vegetables. Needless to say we had our fill and had dessert to boot. This should have been an uneventful dinner out to celebrate a 12 year olds birthday, and it was until his 4 year old brother started playing with pepper and in turn touched his eye. One distressed child, the manager, Josh, was quick to act, professional, extremely considerate to a very upset little boy. Well done to all concerned, our stay was memorable to say the least.
Went here on a Sunday and in all fairness they were very busy. Went and got our food and sat down to eat it ,the beef and turkey was ok but the beef was a bit fatty but the Yorkshire pudding was like trying to cut a brick it was that hard. We also ordered 2 bowls of pigs in blankets which never arrived.Food: 2/5
Lovely carvery though they have reduced their meat portion sizes and upped their prices. Still good food however. Good drink selection. Big car park. Toilets are clean. 4/5 for me.Food: 4/5
Went for breakfast just before Christmas. Although it seemed quiet in the restaurant, the food was not the best. While we were trying to get our breakfast, a staff member was over the other side of the counter, fulfilling an online order and taking everything, so we were having to wait for it to be filled up.Food: 3/5
This place must be under new management?? Everything was so much more organised, tidy and professional compared to our last visit. The shift runner was a familiar face as I believe he used to work in the kitchen and he was fantastic as the host!! The food was well cooked, delicious and fresh and there was no wait for anything!! Thoroughly impressed
Very busy but that just shows how popular it is. Lively helpful staff even though they were run off their feet. We had a lovely afternoon & would defiantly return. The food was lovely & they even gave me a box to take home what I couldnt eat. Wheelchair accessibility: Completly Wheelchair friendly
The amount of time to be seated and being served was pretty good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I have to say and the other members of my party were disappointed with some of the food. The mash potato was a little cold, some of the vegetables were over cooked and there was not enough meat given to us. We could have been given a little more Vegetarian options: There was a nice range of vegetarian options available. Parking: People were not parking properly. People were parking in the disabled spots and were not displaying a disabled badge
Nice place but for a Thursday at 8pm it was quiet. Big joints if meat on show I know meat prices have gone up but the boy cutting the meat for you just has well have used a razor blade has it was very little and cut that thin you could see through it. Apart from that it was ok. Nothing special just ok. It filled a gap and maybe not hot enough but after all it is a buffet. Will not use again
When out and need lunch we always look for a Toby, as we know we will have good food at a great price. They are always welcoming and a pleasant place to dine, each has it’s own unique character, would recommend them to everyone. We were served by Maz and given a raffle ticket number 569, Parking: Very spacious with easy access to the carvery
Food was great as usual, unfortunately it was really uncomfortable having people queuing alongside our table, eating Sunday lunch with half a dozen strangers standing over you isn't particularly pleasant so would definitely ask for a different table if booking on a Sunday in future, I have sat thee a few times before and its fine but with Sunday service being so busy the queue was to both sides of our table
