Lovely meal and friendly staff. My steak was cooked to perfection and I would recommend the mixed grill XL to anyone. Service was prompt and efficient.
Popped in on the off chance with wife and daughter. Really friendly welcome from staff and the service was excellent. Had a couple of burgers BOGOF on a Thursday some wings and an XL mixed grill. Food cooked to perfection and my steak was just how I like it. If ever in the area again I would certainly pop in again.
A very friendly atmosphere, the staff were welcoming and helpful and I couldn't fault the meal, the family went home happy and fulfilled. Well done the M.o. G

Nice pub. Friendly atmosphere and good facilities. The beer garden is nice and has patio heaters to keep you warm. The food was cooked well and the menu is what you would expect from a typical British pub. Please visit, Newport has lost too many pubs like this.
used to live this place for a cheap but enjoyable meal but will never return the chicken comes in cooked so even tho it is awushy an slimes they can guarantee its fully cooked glad I didn't touch mine after my partner ended up really ill for 2 days after our visit massive waste of money even the soft drink tasted off
Lovely setting inside very well decorated and very inviting. It's a greene king so has a huge menu offering something for all pallets at a good price. Only had coke today but it was nice and both had the flame grilled burger as it was on a buy one get one free offer on Thursdays. Very tasty and fries were nice and a good temperature. Lots of tables inside and a pool table and little toy machines for kids. Plenty of parking in the onsite carpark. Only downside is the toilets.... the smell hits you as you walk in and for the size of the pub it's very small and needs some money spent on them im not sure the ladies are the same.
Enjoyed it quite a bit! Wish i knew about it earlier so spent there my last day in Wales only. Bonus: great food at great prices.
Eat your heart out London pubs. The menu, apologies for bad quality pics, are unbelievable. And the service is typical South Wales wonderful hospitality. Also, Fuller and Green Man pubs in London, look at the prices. And I know about rents, etc ... but .... If you driving through Wales ... come off the M4 and visit the Man of Gwent.
Meal was ok. Have had better there before. My Daughter had Chicken platter Chicken was overcooked, my wife had fish not the best. Me and my son had the steak that was fine enjoyed it.
