Love the Odeon, Weston-super-Mare. Go all the time. Great price, friendly and perfect for families. So gutted as are so many that it's closing. And on my birthday as well. Please keep it open!!
Classic old cinema. Been coming here since childhood. Amazing cinema, full if history and so much character - should be restored to its former glory externally, and protected by grade listing ; internally, it is well maintained, clean and very comfy. A valuable asset to W-s-M - a perfect little cinema. And the staff are always lovely
Odeon Weston feels a little tired but the prices are brilliant. It shows a good selection of films and the staff are lovely. The screens feel a bit odd in their configuration and sound can transfer from one to another, also it could do with better food/drink options. But it's a great cinema in a lovely classic building.
Love this cinema. The building is so majestic and full of character. I think every local person to Westpon should support this cinema to ensure its survival let's focus on supporting what was always availiable to us rather than using services because they have a few more glitzy lights. The last movie I went to see there were only three people watching the movie on screen 2 including myself. : The staff all young , educated and polite with good interpersonal skills. This was very refreshing.
Toilets were not very clean and seats because of their age were uncomfortably close together. Nothing like the comfort you experience at Vue cinemas these days.
We were one of only 3 family's in there today. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The tickets were a decent price, especially compared to Vue but the food & drink was quite steep, in price. I had an Odeon card for my birthday, which practically covered the cost, so that was great! Overall, I would say very good.
We went to watch Avatar and unfortunately I feel like there isn't rating low enough to represent what we went through. We started with hair in our popcorn two buckets and each one of them had a mixture of long and short hair. Hey, it's always a free add-on! When the movie started, we were presented with a such a small screen that you couldn't see anything from the back row. To top it off, the audio was incredibly quiet. We struggled to hear anything in the movie when there was more action happening. Unfortunately, it has been the worst cinema trip ever. We will not be coming back.
4 of us attended a showing of Thor,love and thunder. As soon as I sat down I new we had made a mistake. The seat was very uncomfortable. It was very very warm in there. The sound level was low and not all of the speakers were working. I was sat in the middle under the projector and couldn't hear the right rears at all. And to top it all off the people sat to my right had a wind up fan that sounded like a coffee grinder. Sorry Odeon but I don't think I will be coming back.
We love this cinema. 5 screens, comfy seating, booster seats for kids, if required. Refreshments available. Kids club films on Sat/Sun & school holiday mornings at discounted prices. Normal prices are only £4 per person adult or child. Great value for money.
What can I say, absolutely brilliant lovely staff always helpful. Ticket prices are unbeatable value for money. I would not expect to be able to go to the cinema and this day and age and have a cinema ticket a small popcorn and a drink for only £6 absolutely phenomenal value, without sacrificing service or quality brilliant. Occasionally you do hear other screens due to the old building, but is it that is not in disrepair after the recent refurbishment.
