Quiet location next to a school. Been here for the citizenship ceremony..well lit high ceiling spacious rooms for meetings .Rooms: 5/5
Visited for adult education as it relocated. It's a nice venue though for me less convenient. Lots of effort I am sure has gone into planning and building the venue though I feel the room used is much smaller for both jewellery and glasswork with very little storage. Glass project's are heavy and need to remain in the classroom and if there are 8 to 10 students in each class I can't imagine where all the work can be stored? People make some big projects such as actual windows and need to store things safely that are waiting to be fused. There used to be 2 shelves under the benches but now there is one only which is a shame. I hope in time it gets to look more like an arts and craft room and the tuition is good as always.
The new Maidstone registry office is really lovely , after hearing that the Archbishops palace wouldn't be our registry office I was really disappointed but Oakwood house is lovely and much more spacious, with lovely grounds for photos . There is a good sized car park but in the week when the schools and colleges on site are open it's tricky finding a space , so leave plenty of time for parking if you aren't part of the official wedding party cars.
This is a really nice venue to hold weddings, conferences, parties etc... I went to a conference yesterday. Really, big ideal space. Does have a parking area. An ideal one aswell. Disabled parking available. Staff were really nice and friendly. Really prompt in service which was really nice. Good technology. Has a projector screen to project what you want on it. Toilets were clean. Just everything was so good about it! I thoroughly recommend it!
A good hotel, one I'd say very much does what it says, offer good quality accommodation for very reasonable prices. I'd say the 3 star official rating is fair- the hotel is comfortable but not luxurious. The bed was very comfy and I slept well, and the food served in the bar on both nights was very tasty- especially the chips. On the negative side, the shower wasn't particularly strong and the complimentary toiletries were not great. There weren't many plug sockets in the room either and none by the bed, the view was nothing special. However all in all I was very impressed and I'd certainly stay again when in Maidstone.
