Booked this Travelodge last minute as we needed somewhere quickly. I understand a Travelodge isn’t meant to be anything fancy, but you at least expect the bare minimum which unfortunately wasn’t the case here.nnThe staff seemed moody and unwelcoming, the room wasn’t very clean, and the whole place just felt a bit grim. Overall it was a pretty unpleasant experience and not somewhere I’d choose to stay again.
A large group of us stayed here a couple weeks ago. I think in total we had 10 rooms booked. For an event in the town.nEasy location to get to and bonus of being able to use the asda carpark.nCheck in was easy and the staff were friendly.nThe hotel was clean.nRoom was easy to find. Clean and comfortable.nMy only comment is be careful of the sockets!! One came out as I took my plug out. And another guest got a shock off of theirs.
Room had a really unpleasant smell.nDirty bathroom,scum build up in shower and taps.nDirty curtains.nDirty carpert with old stains all over.nMattress had stains on.nFamily room , only facilitates for extra beds were fold up ones,only any good for small children,not older children or adults.nMy son slept in the bath!!!nWould i recommend maidstone central travel lodge NO!!!nCheap and nasty, avoid.
Awful, had room 101 right opposite the lift. Apparently it was usa superbowl night and after arriving at hotel at midnight after a surprise party for my 60th birthday my friends had booked me a room along with thiers so I could have a drink in the restaurant. All I wanted to do was go to bed and sleep! The room was really cold, but the constant shouting in the corridors and people getting in and out of the lift, banging doors going up and down for a cigarette was horrendous. At 4am I finally gave up and went down to reception to complain. Nothing was really said except its superbowl night! I went back to the room but finally gave up trying to sleep at 7am and went down to the restaurant for a coffee. Tried explaining again to a different receptionist as my room had already been paid for by my friends. If it hadn't been i certainly wouldn't of paid it.nSurely the point of a hotel room is to be able to sleep!?nWould NEVER book there again, especially at a weekend. Disappointing end to what was previously a lovely evening
worker named terence was so agressive towards a group of young adults who were being polite and were showing proof of age- he was refusing to give them a room after he refused to help a disabled woman put a wet floor sign down- one of the young adults kindly took the sign and did it for her. calling terence out for what he did. after this he seemed to be threatening them by wanting to fight- even the next week in a random street, he was trying to fight the same people. terrible service and i will NOT be going here. premier inn is better.
