Just enjoyed an afternoon on a local beach and had a splendid pint of Forty Niner at the Nothe Tavern, sitting on the sunny terrace looking over the harbour. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and made me and my dog very welcome...the barmaid even brought out a comfy bed and a biscuit for the dog!. I'll be back!
Great pub that we always visit when in Weymouth. The view of the harbour from the beer garden is great as it's up on Nothe Gardens. The food coming out to customers looked really good! We didn't eat as we were only nipping in for a beer! I'd like to give a shout out for the barman Arthur, we were served by him on the two visits whilst we were in Weymouth this year. Arthur is one of those exceptional members of staff that for me, help make a great business due to his fantastic personality!! As always, the reason I do these reviews is to shout out excellent staff/businesses so it helps maintain a great level of service for us all to enjoy! Cheers all! Nigel and Claire
A lovely summers evening at The Nothe Tavern. We went for food, drinks and views... But got great service and a pub quiz as extras! Our Top Gun team did well! Really enjoyed the evening... locals and tourists mixed... staff really nice and great quiz master! Thank you x
Really good food and service , I think a new management has made a difference. Worth going to as quieter than the town pubs with good views over harbour.
Popped into the nothe tavern on a Sunday, and not wanting a roast, but fancied pie and mash and albeit this was not on today's menu, the chef found 2 delicious steak pies for us, complete with mash and vegetables. Absolutely amazing and delicious. Highly recommend this friendly and lovely local even if for just a pint. Brilliant staff and great views over the harbour from the garden as well.
Children friendly pub and quiet spacey. Tucked out the way from the mad rush of life. They do do food but didn't have a look at menu so can't really comment on that.
The food here was delicious, the staff were lovely and welcoming and friendly. Beautiful views of the harbour which was accessible down the steps and the Fort is just up the road. Perfect for family dining with a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. And did I mention the food was delicious
Warm, welcoming and friendly pub! We love the Nothe and often visit when we are in Weymouth. Landlord and landlady are very nice and Bodi the lab is adorable! Very welcoming to other dogs and lovely food!
Popped in at lunchtime to see the menu as my Husband wanted a pie. Not on the menu but the Landlady told me to hold on while she spoke to the Chef. He came out and asked whether I wanted beef or creamy chicken. I said beef and booked a table for 4. At 6.30pm we arrived, felt really welcomed by all the staff and had our drinks. We ordered and luckily for us there were 2 extra pies, one chicken, one beef. My Sister in law had the chilli. The food was absolutely gorgeous, the pies were out of this world with the most delicate puff pastry ever. They were the best pies we have ever had, the mash was delicious and the veg really complimented the meal. The staff are really lovely and friendly and so we are definately coming back. Luckily for us we live nearby. Thank you so much from the Pie People
Absolutely fantastic meal and a amazing service staff were friendly polite and really welcoming, my daughter barely eats anything while eating out and she had smashed her meal, you can taste everything is fresh to order and the roast was melt in the mouth will definitely be booking to go there again when visiting Weymouth
