I visited the Corner House Café last Sunday.. I was met by 'Millie' the Spaniel which I didn't mind at all I ordered 'Full English' and Tea.. the waitress brought me a splendid pot of tea two cups within then my breakfast; egg, sausage, tomato and beans ok, fried bread ok but perhaps fat old, bacon not great was it 2nd day?, the hash brown tasted disgusting / gone off, the mushrooms were revolting.. this is a shame because the waitress and Chef chap were very pleasant and I also understand times are hard and the charge was not a fortune I think it was £10.20 or thereabouts It was probably a one off disappointment
Amazing have lunch here at the moment and both me and my daughter give it thumbs up, good food, veggie option, staff very polite and all for a very reasonable price, intend to use this all summer
I called in May 2022 and asked for two hot chocolate drinks to take away. The charge for each was £3 usual price for take way, but when I took the top off my cup, I was disappointed, at the lack of drink in the cup. The review photo, shows the contents of the cup, straight from the cafe, I have not consumed or spilt any of the drink. Shame really, because I found the service good and the cafe to be clean and of good atmosphere. The other cup did have slightly more content.
Good quality breakfast with tasty sausages. Very tasty but a little greasy. Good value too- less than £7 for a big breakfast.
Just what you need before shopping, Beautiful English Breakfast, & tea ,clean and friendly atmosphere, just by the harbour ,go enjoy your food ,thanks again for a lovely Breakfast!!!!Food: 5/5
Went in with a group of 11 in total, we were made to wait quite sometime for the food and drinks. When we recieved our food it wasn't as we asked, it was revolting aswell. The milkshake had no flavour and were warm and served in dirty glasses. We had to have 1 in a takeaway cup as there weren't enough glasses. They had ran out of some items and we weren't offered an alternative. The cutlery was disgusting, had dried food on. So overall an overpriced and dirty place.
Looks a bit dated on the outside but very clean on the inside. The young lady was very efficient and polite. Really good food and the speed of service Really recommend this little place. If I didn't live in Portsmouth I would return. Great job guys!
My wife and I have been here several times and the food is always fresh and cooked to order. You can get 2 meals and 2 coffees for about £14. One of the best cafes in Weymouth.
You get what you pay for not the cheapest but by far one of the best breakfast I have ever had in weymouth . I class my self as a expert as I'm in construction and have tried many many places this one is up the top
If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. Received verbal abuse from a member of staff who transpired to be the owner. He started debating with me about my own dietary requirements, completely unacceptable. When we were paying the bill he tried to overcharge us, we politely said there must have been an error and he tried to argue with us again and in the end he didn't even apologise! This happened a while ago so if it's the same management I wouldn't return.
