Norton Grange

Absolutely lovely food and environment in general. Sometimes the chef gets the thickness of the steak wrong and cooks it unevenly, often un-tenderized; and if you want to put a nice tomato on the plate with the meal then at least make sure that it is ripe and sweet, lattice it, add a little salt to caramelize it and bring out it's flavour and also a tiny bit of salt and fine black pepper.. THAT kind of tomato is amazing (flavour explosion!).. By the way, the way they choose and cook the field mushrooms is exquisite. Staff are lovely and for all of this my friend and I keep going back.. It's lovely to visit and dine there..! My condiments to the chef ( just kidding!)

A very poor pie that may have well have been brick. The waitors shouldn't even turn up as you never see them (they also obviously don't have the amount of intelligence to be able to carry two drinks at a time). Overall I am very pleased as you can tell.

This was a great place to eat before it was up graded about a year ago. Although the staff seem polite and friendly the food seems to have slipped down a bit. And the character of the place seems to have been lost in the decor etc

They now make you eat in the smokers section outside. You cannot sit and eat up in the top garden any more..there was a massive a board notice saying no food to be eaten beyond the step area in the garden... We ate outside but was spoilt by the smoke coming from the table who were smoking by us. This cannot be good if you have kids with you either....we wont be coming back in summer ...will go somewhere we can eat without ingestin passive smoke..

Been eating at the nirton grange over 10 yrs now, never had a meal to complain about, great service, great food, great staff
