Northumberlandia Car Park

Plenty of parking spaces. Most of the spaces back on to grass, so we were able to park our 6m long camper with no issues. There are a few potholes, and there was a massive puddle in the middle when we were there.

A great experience, even on a cold windy day. The sculpture is as impressive up close as it looks in photos. Loved the idea of walking all over a sculpture, around its head, body and down to its feet. The view from the top is impressive, all the way to the sea and even the open-cast mine next door is monumental in scale and thoroughly watchable from this angle. The staff at the car park are friendly and it's free, yes free to enter. All they ask is for a donation for the parking. It could do with a cafe, but there is a pub close by and there are postcards for sale.

Great morning here. Busy, but every one keeping their distance. Great views at the top. So sorry that people felt the need to leave litter here. My 5 year old wanted to pick it all up. If there wasn't the risk of COVID, I might have let him. Loads of flowers and nature to see.

Visited yesterday keep a look out for the dragonfly's as your walking round , there's blue ones and red ones so easy to miss but amazing to see

left my car there for like 30 minutes, came back, kaboom see photo added never parking there again lad

Fantastic walk with amazing views. Needs planting up a bit, but I'm sure that will improve with time.

Car park for Northumberlandia. Pit tips made to look nice. Don't look over the hill. Big open cast mine..
