Visited the gardens only, excellent. They far exceeded my expectations a lovely, full day out. Staff are really nice and helpful, facilities are extensive, clean and amply stocked. The gardens are extensive, lovely layouts all different, lots of lovely areas to sit and take in the views, sights and smells both in sun and in shade. Loved the bamboo maze, exceptional. Only let down was not being able to walk the tree house due to extensive work being carried out. Small detail and did not detract from our lovely day out.
Such a beautiful castle, however because of covid you have to make sure to book your tickets for the Dragons quest and to the castle rooms otherwise you won't get in.
Awesome car park. Only 3 pounds for the day and any size camper or bus for that matter will fit.
Spacious car park, 2 minutes from the entrance. Plenty of spaces. Car parking bays not marked and no steps.
Plenty of spaces available I woukd recommend getting to it early as the spaces fill up quickly
As far as car parks go, quite well managed. You're greeted at the entrance for payment £3 at the time of writing, and just tapped my card and then guided around to the next available space by staff in high-vis vests. A stroll across to the far side, out of the gate and to the pedestrian crossing to safely enter the Gardens, then on to the Castle.
Probably the quickest and easiest way to park when visiting the castle and gardens. Also has access to Alnwick town. It's £3 paid by card on entry.
It is a carpark so I'm not sure exactly what to say but it seemed well organised, entrance staff were helpful and payment quick by contactless. £3 all day seems fine. It's a bit of a walk from the castle/gardens and probably the town but if you don't want car parks destroying the things you come to visit you have to put up with that in my opinion. Disabled parking is nearer the entrance.
brilliant worth a visit. castle so much history .greT for the kids with all the Harry Potter stuff going g on .the gardens are magnificent you can spend hours wandering g around .the town is near by for food and drink .go 5o the queen's head on the cobbles. 5hey don't do food but great people and the crack is great . superb location to visit Northumberland coastline.
Loads of spaces, £3 for all day parking. Can’t beat it.
