It's free and it's big. On a nice day you could spend a good hour or two wandering about with the dog or kids. Look out for the fairy doors and tree art. (Squirrels and snakes!) There's a cafe and normally an ice cream truck for snacks. There's toilets and a little play park. The park is probably best suited to 4-10 year olds.

Nice trail through woods and beside a river. Great for a gentle family stroll, with the option for a longer walk of a few km. The walks here also link up with other paths towards Bedlington and so on. There is a cafe and public conveniences.

Nice relaxing woodland to wander around, decent coffee shop on site too. There's a play park for kids, plenty of free parking and the public toilets were very clean.

Me and my kids love plessey woods. They have a great park , plenty space for the kids to run around and a few different walks through the woods. The only down side I would say is the cafe isn't big enough and should sell more sandwich , toasties things like that instead of cakes and ice creams as it gets cold there.
