Really good metro station for the north shields area. There is a bus station right outside that has links to the coast, as well as most areas surrounding. There are a few ticket machines, as well as barriers that are sometimes in use. The station is mostly unmanned, but it is safe. There is step free access with lifts down to the platforms, and you can board the metro without a ramp.
Ferry was very nice experience for children for the first time
I have lived in North Shields for more than thirty years and have seen it change over time. Like most so called improvements some are good and some aren't and due to some of the improvements North Shields had already lost some of it's character.
Brilliant day out
There's hardly any shops anymore, all is changing for the worst don't go! Go to the coast or Newcastle if you want anything, it's disappointing place.
