Found this pub whilst in Exeter for work. Food was superb - amongst the best I have had in any pub anywhere - well cooked and really delicious. A good use of local produce and a nice range of local beers too. Service friendly and atmosphere warm including from Quince, their new puppy. Overall an excellent experience and I am trying to figure out if I need to be in Exeter again sometime!
The loveliest place to stop for food, the quality of all of our meals was second to none and it’s lovely to see local produce on the menu. I had the special of the wild garlic and godminster scones and they were unreal. The service was also fantastic.Food: 5/5
Perfect 10/10 As you approach, there is an amazing relaxing atmosphere outside, with family's friends and holiday makers all eating drinking and enjoying the live Jazz. Inside I was greeted and shown to my booked table, the staff were friendly professional and relaxed. The food was top quality all freshly made with local ingredients, the chef even made a low sugar pudding for my partner. It was not just lunch it was a great all round experience.
Nice, spacious pub on the riverside. Friendly staff and great food. Plenty of space inside and outside to sit although I’m sure it’s a different situation on a summer Sunday afternoonFood: 5/5
Busy pub on the quay side in good weather. Good selection of real ales to be sampled. There is a nice lunch menu with tasty snacks on offer.Food: 4/5
Came for a small works Christmas meal. Great choices of food , good Christmas displays, music not too loud so we could talk without shouting! attentive and knowledgeable staff.
Lovely lovely place! Great atmosphere, we had an amazing waitress. It was a busy Saturday evening and I could see that she was very busy but she still came and checked in on us loads and was very quick with any requests. The food was incredible! We had the scotch egg, fish and chips and lasagne off the normal menu, as well as two of the specials: tuna nicoise and risotto. All were beautiful. Absolutely no complaints and cannot recommend this place enough!
Lovely place down by the Quay. Traditional old style pub on the inside. A good choice of local beer and ales. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Menu choice was good with daily specials. We had the home made steak and ale pie plus the burger , both were of a excellent quality well cooked and pipping hot. If you walk past this pub on your quayside walk you will be missing out ,so call in and give them a try.
It was the first time I went to this place and I’m glad I did. The food and drink are amazing! I had fish and chips with Sheppys cider and both were great. As dessert I had sticky toffee and it was probably the best I ever tried. The service is excellent. Everyone very friendly and polite. The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy. Really happy with the experience.
Lovely spot for a drink located on the river front. Pleasant staff. I didn't eat here I only had coffee and drinks.Service: 5/5
