Food is exquisite, service is great and general atmosphere is relaxing. The food is great and is a real treat. Highly recommended for vegetarian and meat eaters alike. The dining area is upstairs and so check accessibility if you have difficulty with stairs - they are very helpful on the phone.

I have been to No9 Church Street restaurant on a few occasions and the food has always been excellent. Also, it has a really cosy atmosphere in a lovely building. It's a special find in Stratford upon Avon where there are now a growing number of very good restaurants.

After a wander down and back up the plethora of eateries along Sheep Street my friend and I came down Church Street and were glad we did! We settled on No9 after perusing the menu and stood outside waiting for it to open. Interesting combinations and very well executed - i had mackerel to start deliciously soft with crisp salty skin served with little cubes of beetroot, apple and kohlrabi and a dill dressing - very light and summery. Lamb meatballs followed in a tomato ragu and yoghurt sauce...soft and tender and intensely flavoured - my mouth is watering just remembering them. To round it off I chose a pecan brownie with a minty choc ice cream - very fresh tasting. I will definitely come again - the lady on service was very relaxed and friendly, and the chef/back of house staff brought out the food when ready if she was occupied with other diners. Food is very average, A £20 steak comes with boiled vegetables, steak is not worth it, service is very avg. Its not a 4 star a restaurant, find a local pub and you will get same quality steak & chips for £12.95
