Quiet night, people in and out, end of February in Blackpool making the most of it, nice relaxing music playing, who doesn't like a bit of crowded house been here in the past and it was busy and the atmosphere was great, recommend
Sunday roast is lovely, seems they do different options tho from the pictures I've seen but still nice, my only moan would be the roast potatoes were slightly hard
Visited here today and was disappointed. We were a group of 6 with 3 separate orders all placed within minutes of each others. All 3 orders served separately with at least a 20 minute wait between each with the final order arriving 1 hour and a half after ordering. The lady behind the bar did apologise and get us all free drinks which was nice, however even she commented on how bad the time management was of the people serving the food, think it was from the restaurant next door. When ours finally came there was no cheese and hash brown in the chicken burger which we had paid £1.50 extra for. And the steak in my sandwich was as tough as leather. Chips were nice though. We didn't complain as after already waiting an hour and a half we didn't want to waste any more of our 1 day in Blackpool waiting for the order to be corrected.
Really decent pub. Small but accomodating. Go in before Blackpool games. Staff are friendly. Serve Grolsch as well as the usual generic lagers. Real ale changes except the Black Sheep. Grady session ale.
Lovely place. Spotless and lovely staff! Gorgeous Sunday Dinner too. Thanks will be back :
It's very good place...Nice local vibe and good deals..Bexy was welcoming...loved the place... Surely recommend
Popped in for a quick drink while sightseeing, friendly, welcoming pub, with a good range of sprits. Beers and ciders sightly less so, usual offerings with nothing special, but my Black Sheep was perfectly acceptable. Very pleasant place to sit and have a drink and a chat, there was background music modern country on that day, very much to my taste, which was actually at a background volume, not so loud you had to shout over it to chat, which was very welcome compared to most pubs these days. An additional bonus was the entertainment provided by other guests dogs, who were very much at home, and clearly enjoying themselves. Overall a very pleasant place to sit and have a drink, and a massive contrast from the loud barns on the seafront.
This is the first pub I head for on my Blackpool visits. Last time busy Friday afternoon, only one member of staff - very friendly and efficient - sadly my pint of bitter tasted more like vinegar than beer. I think it lets the brewery down as well as the pub if beer lines can't be kept clean
Fantastic Sunday roast dinner here. It's a must try Lovely staff Nice and clean Friendly atmosphere Very nice pub
Not the fault of the pub, but very high temperatures both inside and out led to a stifling atmosphere inside, ran out of glasses so serving drinks in plastic cups. Bar staff were great though, doing thier best. Would have to try at a quieter time to provide a more accurate review. But not bad given the circumstances
