We visited here on a very quiet weekday which was nice. The staff were friendly but the service was slow as there was only 1person serving drinks and trying to take food orders at the same time. But that said the pub is in a good location and at night you get a nice view of the tower all illuminated.
Great find on our recent holiday. Lovely building full of original characteristics. Fantastic menu choices. The senior menu is a real bonus and plenty of choice. 2x 3 course meals and 2x drinks for under £20 is great for keeping the cost down when on holiday for a week. Highly recommend a visit here during the day before the evening drinkers come in or when sport is on.
Great located pub, a regular when on holiday in Blackpool. My son loves the apple pie desert which he says is the best in Blackpool. Good selection of beers at decent prices with fantastic customer service from friendly helpful staff. Well done
Bit rowdy but it was Friday night, food was amazing. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend for a bite to eat which tastes great and doesn't cost a fortune
Green King pub which does food. There are multiple TV screens so you can watch BT sports, they don't have SKY. Green King ales but they have the other usual options. We had sharing chicken wings 1kg for £7.99 well cooked tasty and worth the money. The inside is showing signs of needing some TLC showing its age. The toilets are upstairs and they are rough.
Was nice and quiet. Got a free game of pool. Didn't have everything on menu available but was able to find alternatives.
Called in for a few beers to meet friends. Served quickly even though it was busy. Got a table near the window so watched the world go by. Never ate any food but people said it was good. A few sticky tables and food that had been left on the side. Toilets were pretty stinky and upstairs. Called in again alot later for another drink mailey to get out the cold. It was a lot more lively with music playing. A good experience to be fair.
The food is alright for the price, however whoever is in charge has clearly never looked up. There is a slowly falling apart seemingly disused projector on the roof that has become home to flies, constantly crawling in & out of the devices air vents. Can't give it any higher stars due to the severe lack of cleanliness, it would have taken a very long time of negligence for the projector to get that bad!
Went into the bar ordered our meal and was told there was a waiting time of 40 mins. I was going to leave but husband said we may as well have a drink so we ordered. The carpet looked as if it hadn't been hovered for at least a few days the wooden floor hadn't been buffed for atleast a year. Then if you went to the toilet the staircase stank of damp and urine bits of paper crisp packets on the floor then you went into gent's dirty smelly disgusting The food was all frozen microwave food. When you go out for food you expect to eat equal food quality that you could cook yourself or better. Avoid this place if you want better quality than a 1990s greesy spoon A Townsley
Went for Easter Sunday lunch - food was fairly uninspiring, standard low quality pub grub, it's a fairly average Greene King pub. A DJ started blasting out music at 2pm, absolutely killing any hope of conversation for our group unfortunately situated close to the DJ booth. When asked about the possibility of turning down the noise, the waitress responded with "well, it is Easter", as if the assault on our ears is what Jesus would have wanted, so we left.
