Was passing this pub never been in there before and wanted a Pint of beer, when I went inside it was empty the guy behind the bar did look bored. Bur he was playing the older music from 50 and 60s they guy was young. The pub has a rustic view it was good to say and yet the beer was good as well couldn't fault it even though it was out dated style pub but it was cosy and warm inside. They do Karaoke nights host of other things if your looking for a great beer go there.
It's always been a rough and ready place. Been in many times. Had a great time when we went. Karaoke. Cheap beer and spoke to loads of people from all over the country. Had a great time.
Nice pub, good beer, and decent karaoke singers mostly. Unfortunately let down by a poor member of staff, who seems to think it's ok to shout at customers, and spend time picking crisps out of her teeth with her fingers, before then serving customers. Seems as though she is also exempt from cleaning up any spills on the bar top. Otherwise a great little pub.
Fantastic time in here with genuine people, pub looks a bit ropey but then again the best places always do for me, a few of the karaoke singers couldn't carry a tune if it came with handles but that's what karaoke is all about.
Good atmosphere, friendly staff. 12 o'clock Saturday afternoon, karaoke on the go. Pity neither of us can sing, but good few hours spent.
Karaoke till 11pm and very reasonably price drinks, friendly punters in on our visit - we had a great night in here
Awful place! Advertised as open till 12. At 10.40 karaoke stopped and very rude staff asked us to finish our drinks. Some people had just bought a drink! When customers complained we were told by the rudest barmaid ever that it's an independent pub and they could do what they want. The other barman was just as nasty. Avoid at all cost!
Lovely bar, reasonably priced drinks, all day karaoke!! Had 2 really fun nights there on our mini break
I was in The Lifeboat on Saturday night after watching Coventry City play Blackpool at Bloomfield Road. Fantastic pub, well run. Brilliant lads on the door, lovely friendly bar staff, and a gem of a karaoke, with the host also playing keyboards, guitar and also saxophone
Well run place filled with nice people. I dropped in last night on my way back to my hotel Craig y don for just a quick drink and loved it. I realized that I had lost my key's so retraced my steps,And BINGO the lovely couple that runs the pub had them safe behind the bar. I had one for the Rd"well rude not too". The place was in full swing I really didn't want to leave but had no choice. Great sound system and a great pint. Great value for money. Lovely couple that runs it. Happy that I found this pub and I'll be back. P S ...am an ex landlady so know a good pint. Well done guys. X
