My son and I were shopping today, Christmas Eve. I collected an online order and had coffee. There was an area of the store upstairs with reduced items. My son picked up 3 lego items for half price. However, when we arrived at the till we were told that the lego wasn't on sale until 26th. The items were reduced on the label, it was plain to see. There was nothing to suggest that the sale was from Boxing Day. There were 100s of items also reduced. When we pointed it out, the staff didn't care and stood their ground, despite us being very polite. We asked to be refunded as it was clearly wrong. My son was very upset and it robbed him of the Christmas spirit for a few hours. I've worked in retail, as has he, and frankly, it seems against the law. Shame on you, Next Handforth Dean!
This is a fairly large next building with all of the available sections a next can have such as a section for men and women, younger kids and babies and home-ware section too. There is also a Costa located inside upstairs. Pricing sometimes can be decent but some items seem a little pricey so it's a hit or miss with how expensive items are.
I bought a tree topper from Next recently. The staff were very helpful and friendly and there is a great range of things in the home section.nThe one thing that could be improved would be the packaging on the click and collect as it just came in a cardboard box.nWith the actual tree topper, I think it would be better if there were wires within the ribbons of the tree topper as the silky ribbons don’t curl that well and don’t look as good as the sparkly ribbons that are a bit more stiff. However, I think it does look quite well now. Just took a while to curl them all
Thank you so much to Lewis who was incredibly helpful today in contacting Customer Services to investigate why an order had not arrived as planned. He then requested from them a home delivery at no charge to myself to compensate for the inconvenience caused. What was impressive was his initiative, his polite manner throughout and his commitment to sort things out on my behalf. Wonderful service, thank you Lewis!
Went to Handforth Dean on Friday 26th July , had a query regarding an order I placed online .Matt who was at a till point , was so helpful , phoned customer service , to resolve the issue . Went above & beyond , a credit to Next . Thankyou Matt
