First visit. We went with our 6 year old son to meet our friend and her young daughter. The food was beautiful and plentiful. They supply boxes to take food home if you don't manage to finish I had to take advantage of this lol and they also offer a takeaway service with delivery. The lady that served us couldn't have been more attentive and pleasant. She was amazing with the children. After lunch we ventured outside at the back of the pub and I and I have to say I was gobsmacked at the size of the outside space and there must have been no less than 30 tables for people to sit at and have their drinks and food. There was a climbing/rope frame incorporating a slide for the kids to play on. Shown in photos. All in all a fabulous place to visit. We WILL be going back. Vegetarian options: There are lovely vegetarian options on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Kids are treated like royalty. Plenty of grab machines to win toys in. One of them even keeps going until the child wins a toy. Parking: Massive car park at the front and another on at the back. Ordinarily you can park free for 30 minutes but as a customer all you need to do is enter your registration number at one of the touch screens around the bar and your sorted for the entirety of your visit. Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy and safe wheelchair access.
Ohh, is our 3 time we come here, lovely place and the food was....NO WORDS to describe it, it take a while until come but when come uhhh feel like a 5 star restaurant ...I will gladly wait 3 times more if needed to receive the food that I received and how was presented. My compliments to management and staff and not the last Kitchen VERY GOOD!!! Definitely will come back and will be my number one pub to come. For the people that are used with junk food and ready in 5 minutes please don't come, otherwise bad reviews will be left and this place not worthing the bad ones. Oh forgotten about the prices.... For what I received is way lower than expected. Thank you
Maggs was a wonderful server.. she made me feel very at home and couldn’t do enough for me.. excellent food and first class beer.. the landlord was fantastic too… Very happy with my visit here today and I will definitely be back again
To be fair I did go during the women's euro final but what a waste of an afternoon. They missed some things out of my wife's salad, by the time my meal came everyone else in our party had finished there's. Mixed grill was badly burnt and had to leave it, also replaced the bed of onions with beans... Odd place, would say the kids build your own sundae had 2 chocolate buttons and 2 white chocolate buttons, can't remember being to a sizzling pub that was so tight. Wouldn't go again under any circumstances
Our evening was a complete farce, I was first informed that there was a 30 to 40 min wait for food even though the place was only a third full. Next minute a member of staff who later turned out to be one ofvthe chefs ran crying from the pub, An HOUR later when I asked where a our food was I was told it was just being plated up, even though others that had arrived after us had hot their meals. 15 minutes later now 1hr 20mins after placing my order I requested a refund and left and will not be going back in any hurry...
We visit here regularly but the food has gone downhill. Had to send steak back 3 times as over cooked. They cooked fresh steak and put it on same plate 3 times so everything else was cold. The steak was still overcooked but I ate it. The manager said they had lost there 2 main chefs. We waited 90 mins to be served and it was rubbish to be honest.
I can only comment as I find, Whilst accepting it was quite busy with drinkers, 3 of us ordered food Only for mine to turn up minus the curly fries, my daughters sausage & mash turned up with barely any gravy & no onion rings, even after pointing this out to the really young waiter guy, we sat & waited for a couple of minutes & it became clear nothing was happening. We ate what we had anyway, Average food for cheap & cheerfull & very forgetfull.
Unfortunately our meals were barely warm and didn't look very appetising. We had a long wait for food so no I didn't complain as we had hospital appointment and didn't have time. Don't think we will be going there again.
We had pre booked a table for 5 people, for 6pm, we arrived to no reserved table, we had to find one ,clean it ourselves, then it took over 45 mins for our food to arrive, which we had to ask where it was, I had ordered some item off the guaranteed sizzling menu, my chicken was not sizzling, barely warm, we did complain and received a free pudding.
Absolutely wonderful food. Quite busy when we went , which was just before 5.0clock. I would say this is because they do a midweek offer of 2 meals for £9 between 12 and 5. Really fast service still though. Nice gardens. Friendly staff .
