We were in your pub last Saturday and we had a lovely lunch. Went back on Wednesday evening but you were not doing food as you had problems. Bar man was very polite about it. Tried you again yesterday but still no food. Barmaid was very abrupt when I asked if you were serving lunches. She said No. Not the way to treat customers.
Spacious pub with some outdoor seating. Only been here three times but great for watching sport as they have several TVs plus a big screen. Bar manager landlord? has always been pleasant with a cheery hello. Some of the customers could be extras off "The Walking Dead" though.
The Hop is a disappointing pub north of Blackpool city centre. While the pub itself is lovely and spacious, my visit was ruined by an incompetent, indifferent bar man who not only couldn't work the till but also drew my pint incorrectly. That [picture] was not nearly a pint. Since the real ale collection itself was underwhelming, too, I left after just that one near-pint and went back to the *much* superior The Brew Room, which is just a 3-minute walk away - who make their own beer, at moderate prices, have nicer, more knowledgeable service and serve really well-made food. Not recommended even for Blackpool!
Nice clean pub reasonably priced drinks. Lunch time entertainment Pineapple Jacks singing duo are very good and are well known in and around Blackpool. Well worth a visit.
Only one real ale. Otherwise it would have got 5 stars. Lovely friendly pub. Cheap beer. £1.80 for Ruddles keg beer. Only real ale was Greene King which I can't buy because they give money to the Tory Party.
The name 'The Hop' spelled out a different experience to me. It wasn't the craft ale bar bar that I hoped for not hopped for. I couldn't help but wonder if the sign had been vandalised and once read 'The Hope'. Friendly staff though, just a shame there wasn't a decent beer.
Nice, clean and reasonable but there is no need to have football on in every corner of the pub, at least keep an area for people that want a beer and chat, theres plenty of space......
Smart tidy pub, spacious feeling, has a pool table, 2 dart boards and satellite TV, sells the usual range of drinks including real ale at a reasonable price, the sort of bar you can go to with your mates or take your wife/ girlfriend
A nice traditional pub with a couple of dart boards. The beer was excellent and the food menu, though basic, was well cooked and arrived quickly.
A pub in the centre of Blackpool. Parking, main Rail Station, indoor markets and shopping very close and convenient. Recently refurbished. It has large screen Sky tv, games, live music and cooked food
