Saw an advertisement for a Burns Night Supper, 3 course meal and a 'wee dram' on arrival. 2 choices for starter, 3 choices for main, 2 choices for dessert. Booked a table 2 weeks in advance with a £5 deposit pp and gave our food choices. The event was last night and the tables were all laid out with tartan tablecloths. The food was delivered to the table, all hot and on hot plates. We were all encouraged to read out parts of the Burns Poem 'Address to a Haggis' with the other diners. It's was all in good fun, and everyone joined in. There was themed music playing all night in the background. There was great attention to detail for the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed the night and the food was excellent. All the staff worked incredibly hard, and the night was a success. Will definitely look out for more events coming up.
Amazing home cooked food and super friendly staff, fabulous place!
Great pub, lovely owners and staff. Had a lovely Sunday Roast, 3 meats, 3 types of potatoes, 2 types of stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire's, 4 types of veg, gravy and sauces, not forgetting the lovely home made soup to start. All served piping hot and very presentable. Could not fault it. Have popped back in for the lunch time special over 60s 2 coarses for £4.95 what's not to like, the sausage and mash was really really good with ice cream to follow. Wish we lived nearby as I would make this lovely pub my local.
Good Atmosphere. Friendly staff . dog friendly.
Great food friendly staff . Pet friendly a plus for us
Hi not sure what happened tonight ? We booked for 6.30pm got there early so placed our order by 6.20pm Not busy and no obvious food service anywhere else We asked about our starters at 6.50pm and we were advised there was another order before us but that was not obvious …. !!!!!!! We waited another while but there was no sign of anyone having been served We eventually left at 7pm having not eaten and received a full refund no one else seemed to have been served either We went on the strength of a Facebook post from the Chef !!!!
Bar staff are lovely. Tunes are brilliant. The pub is beautiful and cosy. Highly recommended.
Had two ales on, one I really enjoyed the other not so much, decent dart board, enjoyed several games of arrows with me old man, will definitely be back soon.
Visited today with my family Granddaughter and her baby plus two younger grandchildren the smell as you walked through the door hit you and just made you want to sit down and eat. We booked a table which was all ready for us . Even a high chair for the baby. The soup to start was a very nice surprise it was delicious. Then the car very it had everything you could wish for and seeing as I’ve just recovered from Covid i never enjoyed anything as much for a long time. Thank you Karen you are amazing Thank you so much Della and Family xxx We will be back can well recommend
We had a table booked here for Sunday carvery after reading good reviews however, upon arrival we decided not to stay. The pub appeared to us to be confused as to what it was trying to do, it's advertised as a family friendly pub restaurant and looks it from the outside, but inside was loud and full of people watching football in the same area you eat. Did not come across inviting or family friendly at all. The food did look and smell delicious but sadly just wasn't the place for us.
