I recently visited New Dancing Dragon again. I've been coming to this restaurant for the last few years so here's my long overdue review.nnNew Dancing Dragon in my opinion Is better known for its Malaysian, Hong Kong, and Chinese cuisine. If you’re visiting, there are two must tries:nn Pork Fillet in Black Pepper and Honey Sauce – beautifully balanced, tender, and full of flavournn Cantonese Roast Duck on the bone – rich and authentic, but be aware that this must be ordered in advance as only limited quantities are availablennThe restaurant can get very busy on weekends, so be prepared for a lively and sometimes noisy atmosphere.nnBased on many visits, I’d strongly recommend focusing on their more authentic Malaysian and Hong Kong dishes. These are consistently excellent and clearly where the kitchen’s strengths lie. In comparison, their more typical Asian Western base favourites they dont quite meet the same standards.nnEven though the prices are on the higher side, the quality and authenticity of the food make it well worth coming back.nnOverall, if you order wisely, New Dancing Dragon delivers delicious, authentic flavours that keep you coming back.
Overall, we really enjoyed the meal. We visited on a weekend without a reservation and had to wait a little, but luckily we were seated fairly quickly.nnThe portion sizes were generous, and the food came out quickly, so there was hardly any waiting time.nnParking seems to be available, but I’d recommend checking with the restaurant directly. We were able to park right next to the restaurant.
Every time I visit Oxford, I make sure to dine at Man Kee. The staff are always warm and welcoming, and the dishes are full of flavour. Their signature curry pepper crab is an absolute must-try! The interior is beautifully decorated with a touch of Malaysian style, and each corner has its own unique vibe, combining tradition with a modern touch. It’s a place where you can enjoy great food while also appreciating a comfortable and stylish atmosphere. Another nice detail is the complimentary fruit served after the meal. Definitely a restaurant I will keep returning to.
Great spot for a group meal. We had a table in the conservatory which was perfect for our group, plenty of space and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Everyone really enjoyed the food and lots of choice. Service was friendly and easygoing. Would happily go back.
Went in on a Wednesday night and no issues at all with not having a booking. Seated and served very quickly. They have a good diverse menu. I got the satay chicken skewers to start and thought they were excellent! Best I’ve had in a while.nI had the duck fried rice and kung po chicken as a main. Lot of flavour in both and very nice.nDuck fried rice was a bit grisly in places but to be expected with duck. Very good portion size and a lot of flavour.nThe kung po chicken was great too, lot of flavour and a little kick too it. I would maybe have liked it a bit spicier but it was still very nice.nOverall, very good restaurant, nice atmosphere, great attentive staff.nI would definitely come again if in the area.
