Had a check up here Tuesday 15th may 2018. I had been in agony for almost 2 weeks before I even managed to get an appointment, my appointment was booked for 8.45am due to traffic I was around 5 mins late but receptionist was lovely about it. I still however didn’t get seen by the dentist till around 9.10am whether this was due to the fact I was late or another patients appointment ran over. How ever I explained to the dentist about my tooth and what I believed was the course of the toothache I had been getting, she took some x-rays and all I got back was that when my fillings had been done years earlier they won’t done properly (she said a name but I can’t remember) and said that food would get stuck but that has never happened, she did ask if I wanted them replaced but would keep an eye on them and if I was to get any more pain to come straight back in, by the Thursday I was in complete agony again and every time I rang to come I got told there was no appointments and to keep ringing back, by Tuesday this week 22nd may 2018 they still didn’t have any appointments so I decided to ring another dental practice who fitted me in no problem for Wednesday 23rd may 2018, I had my appointment yesterday and told her the same thing as the other dentist I saw and straight away when she took x-rays she said by the sounds of it the bone I had chewed on had caused my filling to come away underneath and it may of cause nerve damage, my new dentist explained everything to me in a way I understood and removed the old filling there and then to get me out of pain and had put a temporary one on in the main time to see if I get any more pain and if I do then she will know that I have nerve damage, but so far since having the old one removed my toothache has gone. Now if grainger Park dental had of done this straight away instead of saying I was only booked in for a check up I wouldn’t of ended up having another weeks worth of toothache. It’s safe to say I won’t ever return to this practice and as for the dentist I seen I would suggest she goes back to some sort of training and also if a patient has toothache they come for the dentist to help them whether it is just a check up or not some sort of work should be done if it is only temporary until they can get fitted in for proper treatment. Thank god for newburn dental has they helped me unlike grainger Park dental.

So I had an appointment today, just a checkup. My appointment was at 10:45am, due to the lack of ANY parking spaces I got in at 10:49. The place was packed, there was about 4 people in line infront of me and all the seats in the waiting area taken. By the time I got to the counter it was exactly 10:55, the receptionist tells me that I've been deregistered (I'm sure it's a 10minute cutoff), I told her I was there at 10:49 and she has the nerve to say 'I don't think you were here by that time' excuse me? I'm not fussed about being deregistered but don't try to say that I'm lying because of your poor customer service. Would not recommend this place. Staff are rude and unhelpful. Im glad that it wasn't an emergency and I'm quite happy moving to a better dentist.

Terrible Practice now, Have been there all of my life and Mr Beddis was amazing but since he has retired practice went downhill. Has a couple of silver fillings replaced to white fillings. Dentist didn't explain benefits of keeping silver ones just happily took my money. Within a year the white fillings had came loose and damaged the teeth around them. I ve have nothing but problems with them since. The whole work was probably unnecessary (partially my fault for wanting old fillings replaced). but for £100 a filling I expected them to last a bit longer than a few months, Staff were also rude, asking why I had booked an emergency appointment with a dentist I hadn't seen. and I should see the same dentist, despite my dentist only working 2 days a week.

It doesn't look very nice outside. I think this shows a lack of respect for our neighbourhood. It also looks unhygienic if they don't bother to just clean up outside their own premises. When I went to join the practice last year the staff at reception seemed to take the mick out of me a bit. I left my keys there by mistake and they never called me even though I had just left my phone number. I changed my mind about joining this practice and decided to stick with my old practice where the premises are smart and the staff are very professional.
