As the owner I wanted to update the details on Google but having tried to do this and it has proved to be impossible! My shop is a hobby so my opening hours vary according to other commiments, etc. It is best to ring before coming to ensure I am open. Regarding the review noting that I advertised a used guitar at 5 times the purchae price I make the following comments. Often guitars puchased need significant work to make them playable or saleable eg restring, set up, cleaning, etc, etc. as a trader I offer a guarantee on used items, I often include a carrying case with the sale, I can take much reduced offers on the advertised price, as a player and a genuine person I offer advice and never pressure people to sell or buy I always tell people that they may get a better price with a private deal. As an example, a guitar bought in for say £10 may be advertised for £50 following a clean-up, set-up, re-string, etc including new strings costing £10, a carry bag costing £10-£15, the work involved cost depending on the work, and I may take a much reduced offer on the advertised price or not be able to sell it. Just saying
Went here today to get my guitar cleaned and restrung. Got to play on some very reasonably priced guitars whilst I waited. Also picked up a new guitar strap and some plectrums. I thought the service was second to none and definitely made me feel very welcome. I won't use anywhere else in future. I highly recommend Music Exchange.
Excellent service. I went in to get a string replaced and to get my daughters guitar tuned. The gentleman in the shop was very professional ensuring the guitar was in tune and was really patient with my lack of knowledge. Highly recommended.
First time in the music exchange..the owner sorted out my guitar..played a tune..fantasic and gave me advice on what i needed excellent value i thought i needed a new guitar..honest and very informed.made my day..thankyou music exchange
Very great place good service and great convo always helps with what i need, really miss how big the shop used to be ,prices are a little steep for used guitars and for string and other stuff etc, one annoying thing is i sold a guitar to him and came back and was selling it for 5x as much as what he paid me for it but oh well its life
I was helped with salvaging two kids guitars to make an improved one. Friendly and helpful service.

Shop is okay but god knows what hours it is actually open. Seems to change every year.
