Amazing violin shop. I highly recommend this place to everyone in need of buying or repairing a violin, viola, cello, or double bass. A gentleman has helped me buy a new violin, as I had a beginner one. He told me about the sound, different sorts of violin, and so much more that I wasn't aware of. He told me a lot of useful advice about violin and showed me around. I eventually bought my new violin here, and I am so glad I bought it. Its very beautiful and it sounds so lovely. The people working here made me feel very welcoming and relaxed. The place is very nice, warm and welcoming. I'm so glad I went here and I will always choose this shop. Thank you!
I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place! Initially, we planned to buy our violin from another shop in Birmingham, but their limited selection prompted us to search elsewhere. That’s when we discovered this gem, and I must say, it exceeded our expectations. David, in particular, was incredibly patient and thoroughly explained everything to us in detail. The shop boasts an impressive collection of violins, and even has some beautiful backdrops perfect for photos. We were so pleased with the experience that we ended up purchasing our violin here. As happy customers, we highly recommend this place—not only for its excellent selection of violins but also for the wonderful people who work there.
Once again, I am delighted with the adjustments that François has made to one of my violins. Optimising the bridge height has made the instrument so much more responsive – and that makes what I play sound a lot better.
Very nice and professional people running this place. A stunning range of violins, double basses and everything in-between. Clearly they know their stuff. I've had a banjo and a violin reconditioned there and bought a violin bow. Always pleasant to deal with Parking can be a bit tricky which I guess is partly why visits are by appointment only.
Always a pleasure to visit and get some TLC for my violin. The staff are so friendly and very knowledgeable, and charge very fair prices for the products and services.
I can simply not recommend this place anymore than I do. As a beginner to the cello I was welcomed, my opinions where important, and David was patient with me while we went through 20 or so bows. An experience I will not forget. Keep doing what you do because its world class.
The staff at Moseley Violins have supported me in choosing instruments; fitting strings and maintaining instruments for over 10 years. I have always received a friendly helpful service with knowledgeable advice. I can not thank Alex enough for the support she gave when selecting a new viola. The choice in my price range was excellent. It was an enjoyable experience trying out instruments and bows. Five star service all round .
Friendly place as we waited to buy the new violin. Nice rooms upstairs. Have to be careful with the parking however.
Such a experienced and helpful service, really down to earth and encouraging - I can't thank them enough for the support and encouragement they've given me on my violin journey
Fantastic shop, really helpful staff, incredible range of instruments.
