Brilliant owner, knows more about drumming equipment than anyone I've ever met! Really helpful and gave me such a good bargain : though I live a bit far away, this shop will definitely be worth returning to if I need to sell or buy!
Since I haven't played in several years, I sold my Yamaha kit and an array of Zildjian cymbals to Drums International yesterday. Having had a chat with Kieran, we sorted out a mutually agreeable price for the lot, and I felt it was a very fair price. If you're in the market for any drums or percussion instruments, well worth popping into their shop. It's always good to support local independents. Much better class of service, let alone knowledge. They absolutely know their stuff.
My 11 year old son took up the drums in January following a trial lesson at school. While we were waiting for a permanent school slot, Ben started lessons with Kieran at Drums International. The lessons are one to one and Kieran plays alongside his students on a separate kit. Three months on and Ben's confidence is improving every week. Lessons follow a very well structured plan which mixes a strong emphasis on the rudiments of drumming and following written music, and developing the solid technical skills in order to play accurately and fluidly. Music is supplied at each stage of progression so that practice at home can tie in with the lessons. Aside from the actual lessons, Kieran and Eileen are the most welcoming people. They obviously care enormously about what they do and Kieran's passion for drumming is clear. As drumming novices, we have had to ask for lots of advice and they have been incredibly helpful every time. The shop is beautifully kept and very well stocked. I recommend, without hesitation.
My Son Benjamin Curran is in his second year of tuition under Drum International. I have found them to be , inspiring, professional and dedicated in all aspects of my sons tuition. I my self come from a musical background playing in bands, writing and recording and can assure you that the tuition Benjamin has received is second to none. Benjamin has also bought kit from Drum international and again my son has come away with some real quality kit at a very good price.
Best drum shop around. Will give all the advice you need and help decide on anything. Crazy deals, extremely helpful and will post almost anywhere not just the UK! Cheap and extremely quality. Highest rating possible!!! A*
What a lovely owner who is so passionate about drums and has an encyclopedia of knowledge about drums .. I had problems with a vintage snare drum and he advised me about how to repair the drum and the best heads to buy .. It's great to support small independent businesses like Drum international... I would rather spend my money here with a business that really wants to help you . Thanks Drum international
I went there and bought a ride symbol and hi hat symbols and both of them have been at a brilliant price . Kieran the guy who runs the shop is amazing as well . Totally worth going if you need anything to do with drums .
