Lovely breakfasts here, I would highly recommend the omelette! Quite busy on a Sunday so be prepared for a small wait, time dependant. Staff were polite & prompt.
The beef patty in the burger was extremely dry and burnt on the edges. You could taste the fat granules, couldn't work my way through it. Easily one of the worst burgers I've had. The staff didn't seem to be surprised nor care a bit. Definitely not something I'd like to experience again.
What a find. Dont judge a book by the cover, ignore the mustard yellow outside. Bar is lovely inside. Cocktails are amazing. Both staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to help. Great atmosphere and great fun and banter with staff. Highly recommend to anyone
Lunch here as a group of adults and children. Staff were great, very helpful. The food was amazing. The seafood chowder, small portion, was a meal on it's own. Everyone enjoyed their meals. If there was something picky, it would be the size of their chicken/sausages and chips in a basket - they were ginormous! And even with very healthy appetites there was so much waste. A smaller basket, or a false bottom, and they would still be a good size.
Food was good, service was terrible. Waited ages for menus, then for orders to be taken, and for plates to be cleared. Had even asked for dessert menus and after 30 minutes went to pay the bill since no menu arrived.
Gorgeous spot for food in centre of Athlone..... parked in Town Centre car park and it was across the road. Great choice on the menu......well worth a visit the roast beef dinner served in a gigantic yorkshire pudding.... ...... the carbonara was scrumptious as the gougons and chips..... very full after. No room for dessert ...... next time.
We love it here! Food and drinks are great and the prices are affordable. There is a wide range of food on the menu and the cocktails from the tab are also great. Highly to recommend is the Passion Fruit Martini or better known as Pornstar Martini. If you should visit Athlone as we did, Murphy's Law is a must!
Pretty much normal bar food level, nothing special.
The place is closed. We came all way down to this town to have food here. Totally misleading information. The restaurant didn't even pick the phone. Could have at least posted a little note for the customers that it's closed. Has 2 places registered on Google maps and both are not open. Actually the other one doesn't even exist.
Rude staff, mediocre food, chain restaurant feeling. Would not recommend and will not be returning. Asked for water and had to ask a second time to receive it. Staff was not thoughtful, rather quite rude and not patient. Food tasted mediocre, Caesar salad was doused in salad dressing, fajitas tasted like Asian sauce, and no marmalade or jam was supplied for the toast of the Irish breakfast.
