Had afternoon tea here. The atmosphere is really good. Antique, cozy and beautiful with all the lovely colours. The decoration of the cakes, sconea and sandwiches was very beautiful too. They were all very tasty. We had a good time there.
Nestled atop Richmond Hill, this restaurant boasts an incredible decor, good food as well as attentive and friendly staff Patricia in particular. I had the Prawn cocktail as a starter, the Seafood Linguine as a main and the Frangipane as my dessert. All were nice, but not spectacular. The prawn cocktail sauce was sublime, I must add. The flavour of the pasta wasn't as bold as I'd of liked, but overall the food was tasty.
Came in for afternoon tea, had the savoury option. 1 lonely scone, 2 finger sandwiches, 2 bite sized sandwiches, 2 small falafel, 1/2 mini sausage roll, 1/2 mini spring roll, 3 cocktail sausages. Sandwiches were dry as if they'd been sitting around for quite a while, rest of items were average tasting. Very underwhelming experience and severely overpriced at £40 per person. If you had the same amount of food that was impeccably freshly prepared and generously filled, it may be worth it but not what is served. Would not recommend.
We had a lovely lunch at the restaurant for our wedding anniversary. The interior is great and the food and drink was amazing. Service was perfect and they kindly gave us dessert to celebrate, thanks!
We had brunch on bank holiday and it was fantastic. Sebastiano, our waiter, was amazing and extremely accommodating. Food was wonderful especially the avocado with humus and chickpeas! We will def be back!
I took my partner here for afternoon tea on his birthday. We had an excellent time. The staff - Roxanne and Chris - went out of their way to welcome us and to make the experience feel special. The afternoon tea itself was fantastic with beautiful freshly prepared sandwiches and fresh warm scones baked in-house. Highly recommend for dinner, lunch or a special occasion - we’ll be back soon!
A lovely place with fantastic staff who are so friendly and nice. Claudia was so kind and helpful. My partner and me had dinner here. We had steak and lamb. The food tasted great. My only issue is that the portions seem small, like portions for kids. For a steak meal, I was expecting a least chips or a decent side. It seems a bit daft to order sides separately. Also as you can see from the pictures the portions are tiny. Other than that a great place. My recommendation is make the Dinner menu portions bigger so you actually get what pay for.
Our afternoon tea experience was great we had seconds of sandwiches as well. The staff was on hand to ensure we had the best experience but most of all, when they found out it was my birthday they brought over a lovely pastry with a candle on it. Such a lovely touch! Thank you, you made the whole thing truly a memorable time out!Food: 5/5
Lovely Sunday night dinner with my Fiance. We had a room and A La Carte dinner option. All good quality and good choice in wine with our dinner. No calls into the bank manager required throughout the stay. The staff couldn't be more accommodating throughout. Also really lovely panoramic views over the Thames are only 100 yards walk away and the Town is a mile meander down the hill.
We had a really nice evening at 144 and they treated us brilliantly for our anniversary. All of our food was very well cooked and it was fairly good value too, though portions could definitely have been larger for starters and mains in my view. The chicken roulade was a case in point - a great dish but it was very small!
