We’re the MS Society. Our community is here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. We understand what life’s like with multiple sclerosis (MS) and provide support, care, information and the latest MS research news and developments.
The MS Society is the UK’s biggest multiple sclerosis (MS) charity. We’re here to provide support for people living with MS and drive research into better treatments for everyone.
In 1953, Richard Cave founded the MS Society. His wife Mary had MS and he was frustrated at the lack of treatments and support available, so he decided to do something about it. He set up the first meeting at Chelsea Town Hall in West London, which a small group of people attended.
Today, we have 32,000 members and groups in every part of the UK. Richard’s work has inspired thousands of volunteers, supporters and staff members to make a difference to the lives people affected by MS.
A community of scientists, campaigners, volunteers and fundraisers working together to stop MS.
