"Heruka Kadampa Meditation Centre KMC is the main New Kadampa Tradition Buddhist Centre for North London. It was founded in 1992 aiming "to provide a venue for Kadampa meditation teachings in the London region". Roughly 20 students live and study at the Centre. In addition to the main meditation room, the Centre contains a small library and a shop that offers books published by Tharpa Publications as well as CDs, and artwork and gifts.In addition to regular meditation classes and weekend events at the main Centre in Golders Green, the Centre organises weekly classes at roughly 15 other venues in and around London and Hertfordshire. Classes and events are open to all and are suitable for beginners."

Heruka meditation centre is such a wonderful place. I love visiting as there is a real sense of peace there, and it allows me the space for calmness and contemplation amongst the chaos of daily life. The teachers and classes are great and I always come away feeling peaceful. It feels like a home away from home.

Heruka Centre has been offering classes on meditation and Buddhism across London for many years. Courses and seminars are well organized, consistent and very welcoming. The representation of Buddhist teachings is clear, authentic and –most importantly – practical for daily life and problems. The teachers are mostly volunteers and dedicated Buddhist practitioners. They are motivated by helping, not by making money. Heruka Centre offers courses for beginner to intermediate level in many locations of north London for very modest fees. Advanced courses and classes mostly take place in Golders Green. I have attended many of them and can attest to their quality and friendly atmosphere. Similarly, for all I know and have seen the integrity of both Heruka Centre and its underlying tradition “New Kadampa” deserves high ratings and respect, in particular for making Buddhist teachings accessible for modern busy people, whether they are Buddhist or not.
Heruka Centre provides a warm, thoughtful and friendly environment for all visitors. Their weekly meditation classes which are held throughout London are well structured, led by experienced practitioners and based on traditional Buddhist theory - all presented in a way that is relevant to modern life. I particularly recommend their full day courses.
I have been attending classes and day courses at Heruka KMC for over a year and have found them to be both spiritually beneficial and also beneficial from a daily practical perspective. The community is warm and welcoming and the teachings are both insightful and thoughtful. For anyone looking for practical ways of dealing with day to day problems or anyone looking to broaden their knowledge and understanding of Buddhism, I would recommend the classes here.
I don't know yet but I've already scheduled it for the 20th of June to meet them and in the future to start doing meditations with them so I'll come back here to tell you the results good.. vibe to all
Heruka is a lovely centre offering a wide variety of evening and day courses to suit all levels of interest from beginner to more advanced. The clear and authentic teachings are presented in a very practical way and the centre is always a very welcoming place to visit.
It was the best thing I ever did...I miss attending the group meditation sessions. The centre in Golders Green is amazing, I also miss sessions they did in Angel! I always felt part of the community and ai felt so much calmer in my thoughts after the sessions.PositiveQuality
Heruka KMC is a wonderful place, warm and welcoming. The meditations and teachings are practical and very helpful for living a peaceful life. I have so much more peace and fulfilment because of attending classes at Heruka KMC.
