What a pleasant discovery! The food was really good and well priced. It was also a relaxing atmosphere, a stone’s through from the touristy area in Bourton-on-the-water. The salad with the burger was generous and very tasty. The nut roast was also pretty good. Parking can be a challenge. There are a few spots behind the Inn. The service was friendly and swift.
Just stayed for a couple of nights and loved it. The rooms were clean and functional and always important the shower was fabulous. We also ate there and the food was amazing. Great choice of local beers, fantastic staff and superb service. Deserving of the rating.
Went for a Sunday roast. The meal was good and the meat tender, it wasn't bad but it wasn't special either, especially for £22! Two slices of beef, a lot of carrots, some boiled broccoli, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding which was massive to be fair - but not even cauliflower cheese! I would have given 4 stars if the price was lower/ I had cauliflower cheese or perhaps another slice of meat. We also sat down and had to fetch menus ourselves, ask for water and such and the pub was almost empty. Once we got our food the server was lovely and came to check in on us, but overall I wasn't too impressed with my meal. I would go back in a pinch but I'd definitely try other Sunday roasts if possible
Great food. Great service. Make a booking though if you have a large group. We had 6 people and they were able to accommodate within 40 minutes. Good beer on tap too!
We didn't have a reservation but they did their best to find us a table. Staff very attentive and super nice. Food is good. Cozy atmosphere. Dog friendly too.Food: 5/5
My sister and I entered this property on Christmas Eve around 15:20 and headed towards the bar in anticipation of speaking to a member of staff about availability . The tables were not full , some people were just getting food , others were just drinking and there were several empty tables with ‘reserved ‘ signs on . Upon arrival entering there was a tall bald guy behind the bar who ignored us , we patiently waited encase he was in the middle of an order and he continued to walk past us and not acknowledge our presence he even went outside at one point. Eventually a younger member of staff with dark brown hair acknowledged us and we enquired about a table for food . He informed us they were stopping food for 2 hours and were fairly full from 17:00 but would check for us . As he was checking the bald member of staff who ignored us said ‘ say no ‘ in his ear and he informed us we could not come back for food . They didn’t suggest just having a drink or coming another time or anything to make us feel like we were welcome there. I have never experienced such poor level of hospitality upon entering an establishment before . I understand they may have been busy but there is no need for the level of rudeness we were recipient of .
Anna & Gary were fabulous. Super clean & spot on. The rooms were so comfortable & just spotless. They were beyond helpful. Trust me when I say that I felt at home & so grounded when I arrived. I will stay again & recommend to othersRecommended dishesVeggie Breakfast, Baked Camembert, Full English Breakfast, Sunday Roast
The place and staff are nice. However, the room we stayed in had the creakiest floor boards in the world, and it sounded in the bar area. To eat and drink there is very expensive. The locals, are nice enough, but they crowded the bar making it not easy to get serves an over priced drink. A nice enough place, but not somewhere i will rush to go back to.
Lovely location for a day/afternoon out. The team are highly flexible with fantastic enormous Sunday lunch dishes. It gets busy so be sure to book!Food: 5/5
Not a lot of choice on a Sunday, the menu was different from the one online and had fewer choices. The staff was friendly and the food was ok, we were a table of 5 but not everyone enjoyed the meal. The place is lovely, loved the atmosphere, a bit pricy.
