From the moment we walked through the door, the staff were very friendly and helpful, all are very polite and attentive. The whole pub is very clean which transfers to the rooms. We had dinner in the bar which was good value for money, with decent sized portions, breakfast was also good, freshly cooked to order and was included in our room price. Would definitely stay again.

Staff were not necessarily unfriendly however the bar staff, particularly, did appear to be aloof and stern. The food was nice but no more than average with medium sized portions.Service: 3/5
Good pub with a very nice outside area next to a stream. Decent food at probably the most reasonable prices in town , and a selection of real ales.
We have just stayed for two nights with friends, friendly and helpful staff, the rooms where a little small and a bit outdated, could do with being refurbished, but enjoyed our stay.Rooms: 1/5
Had a lovely time walking around the village shops and bridges and stop in the pub for dinner , great food and great atmosphere, staff were friendly and helpful and great with the kids , would go back again Service: 5/5
Good place to stay and the staff are Great. Locals as mad as you would find in any village, looking forward to going again.
Only went in for quick pint. Service friendly and cheerfully and able to have taste of couple of beers as new to us. Plenty of seating options. Menu looked reasonably priced and pub grub rather than fancy fare which Bourton on the water other eateries are tending to go towards.
Decent pub in a VERY busy little town. Service was great considering the number of people about but the food was quite disappointing. Chicken burger was so dry I needed a second pint to get it down!
Found a toenail in my room and feces in the toilet. The bed sheets were ripped where you put your face, rip so large that the duvet hung out the side and there’s absolutely no way whoever changed it didn’t see. Bad smell in the hall way. Bathroom light hanging off. No WiFi reaching the room. The tv didn’t work. Room very dated. The wardrobe doors were stuck. Food wasn’t nice. I wrote to the hotel privately to say I was disappointed and got no reply. I feel short changed after spending money for my partners birthday. Location is good but that’s about it. I would never stay again and I would tell everyone to avoid specially since they don’t care about our experience. What a shame since it has the potential to be so beautiful
