Such a great location on the water especially if you can get a table outside. Fish and chips was so tasty and nice. Staff were so friendly and polite. They were really busy but one of them kindly took the time to get me some lemon slices. We were told that it may take up to an hour for food to arrive but it did arrive quite early. Great service.
Visited the pub for a quick meal while in Bourton-on-the-Water, and it was a great place to have a family meal. The pub was almost full when we got there, and we were lucky to avoid the rush for seats that came in later. The menu was good with plenty of options for all, and the pricing is very reasonable for the big portions on the offer. We went for burgers, steak and ale pie, codand chips and nachos, and everything was good. The restaurant is dog friendly, so our 4-legged friend came in with us. The only feedback is to make sure the tables were clean as we had to switch a few times as they were not.
Terrible experience in a fantastic setting- 5 items on the menu not available - not 1 member of staff around we had to clear the table and relocate all dirty plates to a vacant table - 1 hr wait for food in an empty restaurant and ended up canceling the order to leave after waiting too long - I don’t EVER leave reviews but this one deserved a review - these images are after sitting here finishing 2 drinks no one clearing tables
If you can get a seat on the water, it’s is quite lovely! Several tables outside and many inside. Menu seemed quite extensive. Fish and chips were good. Service was nice and bathrooms were clean. Also, pet friendly!
Great value for money Marstons pub. Dog friendly welcomed our daughters corgi. Faces straight onto the river. Can recommend the gammon with thick chips, tomato, pineapple and fried egg.
local pub with great food! servers are friendly and helpful. good is delicious!
Plenty seating, both inside and outdoors. The daytime menu over the weekend has many options that are all priced reasonably. The wait for the food was not long compared with other places. On a busy day, best to reserve a table for upto 2 hours to guarantee one is booked for your party. There is no parking on site but some free spaces across the other side of River Winrush along the High Street may be available for a maximum stay of 1.5 hours.
Nice Outdoor Beer Garden , Nice place to be near to canal side outside in sunny weather , prices are reasonable, place was clean and tidy , toilets were clean and not smelly at all , Service was perfect , we visited over weekend after buying few drinks we ordered some nachos & fries and was served with in good time frame , food quality & taste was perfect. Definitely a good place to chill with friends & family if you are around Bouton on water ,
Took pictures outside and had a strole along the river. The went into the pub for a beer. The central location of the pub makes it an excellent place to enjoy a meal or have a drink after exploring the town.
This pub had the best pint of ale in town I tried all of them because I'm a degenerate. They'd just tapped the Hobgoblin gold and it's a delight when fresh. The issue with this pub is the food is highly limited to standard British pub grub, things that come in 50 shades of beige, if you like. Also, not exactly the pubs fault, but it is completely packed with tourists because of its ideal location and authentic exterior/interior it's hiding behind the beautiful tree in my photo. Realistically, we drank a pint there twice in one day. Once because we hadn't been there yet, and once more because on our walk back to the BnB it started raining very heavily. I can think of two other pubs in Bourton that I'd rather be stuck in the rain in, but without knowing more the Kingsbridge passes the sniff test and is perfectly fine for a pint.
