Mossend Surgery took almost 200 calls over 30mins to then be put on hold for ten minutes to be told all appointments where gone luckily I know how deadly my illness can be if left untreated and once explained I was told I'd get a call back later in the day.. but honestly the fight to speak to a gp puts me off calling unless I really have to putting my life at risk. I have been with the surgery since 2020 and only this week was I finally offered a face to face appointment but would be nurse not gp unfortunately I was to ill so had to take phone call appointment. Reception staff still better than ones at health centre John Street but still a put off and been in tears begging to speak to gp before. If it's urgent best trying hospital than local gp surgery as you have more chance wining lottery than seeing gp.
Been my doctors all my life I have never faulted them, and won't lucky to have a doctors ..plus they were really good when my dad was diagnosed with cancer treated him very well thankyou doctors you do a Great Job
Tried getting through to the surgery today from 8.30 for an urgent appointment but didn't get to speak to anyone until 10am only to be told there is none left? And a pre booked appointment takes 3 weeks to get one??When will things go back to a normal service?
Excellent service from Mossend Surgery this week on, getting a prescription, at short notice, and even sending it on to my local pharmacy for me to collect. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
I have the upmost respect for the NHS. From doctors to cleaners & canteen staff. What I don’t respect is receptionists from this surgery speaking to patients like they are bits of dirt. If they can not hold a conversation without being rude, passive aggressive or degrading to patients that call then they are in the wrong job.
Becoming more and more frustrated with this surgery. I understand it's extremely busy but patients medication is on repeat because they need it. If there is an issue with a request why not let people know? Don't wait until I chase it after ignoring me and then tell me I need to make an appointment for a BP check. Got 5 tablets left and almost 2 weeks to wait for an appointment. Frustrated phone call coming tomorrow.
This is the absolute worst doctors I have heard about to try and get an appointment. Not only that, but the past few times I have ordered my repeat prescriptions, they have gone awol. The only saving grace about this surgery is the doctors. Dr Gibbons really takes the time to get to know her patients and spends that little bit of extra time with you. Dr Jeffries is always running late but again always takes the time with you and is so helpful. These are the only doctors I have seen recently and the reason I’m not giving the surgery a one star! It should be a one star for their appointments and a one star for their repeat prescription process but the doctors make the difference!
I don't normally do reviews for this but I am so annoyed. Came down to surgery yesterday 17/04 to get a repeat prescription for over the holiday weekend, told to come back after 3pm on 18/04 which I did to be told there's nothing there. Now I am without my pills on the holiday weekend because someone hasn't done their job. Told could possibly come back after 5pm and it might be done. No use to me as I am out working as a carer and can't just nip off. So disappointed and angry about this. Especially when you hear others in the queue wondering their prescriptions are going to be there or not so obviously happens often.
Always find the reception staff and doctors very helpful at this surgery. Have had a few issues with prescriptions in the past but nothing that wasn’t easily resolved.
Very helpful staff and so pleasant. I used to be very scared going to the old doctors but now I feel so comfortable with my doctor who actually sits and listens to me n I never feel rushed. Best surgery by far n thank all the staff n doctors.
