This surgery is an absolute joke . It's well past covid but yet doctors are still not in surgery to see patients . Still working from home and now running a triage system where the receptionist if you get through and there's any left arranges a telephone appointment where the doctor eventually phoned you , only to make the decision if they want to see you face to face or not . Really depends on if they can be bothered to come into surgery. Do they realise this is a public service and have a duty of care . They did take an oath didn't they ? Shocking system. No wonder the A&E departments are under pressure . Doctors should be seeing patients face to face . Covids over let's get back to normal service and make that service better ! Not been a good surgery since Dr Muir and that's when there was no appointment system . You walked in shouted "whose last" and you went in after that person . Old ways were the best and more efficient . John street surgery a disgrace to the medical service.
If I could leave no stars I would! Long time patient of this disastrous surgery. They were good at one point when doctor walker was there but when she left all modicum of decency left with her. Have been claiming my stomach issues have been ‘just IBS’ for over a decade and now finally after being referred I’ve been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. To top it off they are now refusing to prescribe the medication the consultant has outlined I need to address my health condition.GP didn’t tell me this it was relayed through a receptionist and I was told I had to contact the consultant to discuss other possible medications!! They take absolutely no accountability. If as a professional you feel confident in a decision then you should have the professional accountability for that decision and be able to relay that to a patient. As for telling a patient to go back to a consultant with a third hand message about your medication, well that’s just ridiculous it should be the GP. MSP is now involved. Please DO NOT register here, they are one careless decision away from seriously harming someone
Dreadful service, can never get through to get an appointment and they hang up if you ask questions they do not like. They advise everyone to go to accident and emergency. No wonder hospitals are under pressure. Can't even get on line repeat prescriptions correct and I have had to go in person 3 times this week as they had missed 3 items, which I order regularly for my condition.
Absolute joke of a surgery. GP thinks he's above and more knowledgeable than a Consultant and refusing to prescribe medication to a seriously ill patient. This place needs shut down and ALL staff held accountable for their poor and shoddy treatment of their patients. They should all be ashamed of themselves and the GP struck off!
Total joke! Is this medical practice as practiced here in the UK? I came in from Africa and funny enough before enrolling I read all the negative reviews here and told myself, 'well, it can't be worse than where I am coming from' and went ahead to register. Ladies and gentlemen, 7 months after, I have not been able to speak to a GP despite being on medication and needing a check-up and refill, plus their receptionists are ill-trained and will do better back office than front. I keep calling non-stop from the 8am everyday they asked me to, just for an appointment, only to be told to call back 8am the next working day to no end. I have never had a terrible medical practice like this, not even in the remotest rural places in Africa. What happens to giving the appointment on the same call where you tell me to call back tomorrow to call back tomorrow to call back to no end. These guys have no business being in this business.
I just changed my doctor with them and after order my prescription last Thursday still not coming through today Tuesday and I just got told after 1 week up and down that I will need see a doctor 1st. At the receptionist is not organizational at all and I wouldn't never suggest ti's surgery specially for people with health problem cause you eill wait ages before you get prescribed
This place is a joke phoned at 8 o’clock as I think I have step a witch is serious and they said they will call me back it got to 1 and I phoned them because I’m getting worse and get told they called at 11 and left a voicemail when they clearly haven’t if they did it would have came up I’ve missed a call and it would come up new voicemails this place is always been a joke they don’t care about your health honestly not the first time I’ve had problems with them
Absolute joke ! Calling from 8am to get an appointment and after 50min they say we can't, "try tomorrow" ? Is this real ? How you can call yourself doctors? Have to went to private clinic where finally ,after month of trying on gb, told me what's wrong in my body, based on blood testwhich "gp" said was OK!? and proper check ! Got the letter from that clinic to get some prescriptions and immediately gave on reception of the gb, letter was sitting 2 weeks on reception without any attention.... this is just disgusting...
Very unhelpful reception staff. I've suffered from a back injury for 20 years - Doctor still thinks I'm faking it. Had a phone appointment and I had an epileptic seizure - Dr Leckie's response was ' What do you expect me to do ? ' Very unprofessional.
The disregard at this surgery is borderline criminal. My symptoms have gotten worse since last week. Requested a GP letter to cover my jury duty absence only to be denied and told that they did not do this. I asked why I was not going to get a letter and the receptionist could not tell me. A joke. Please do yourself a favour and move healthcare practice.
