They have friendly staff at the reception and some doctors are so sympathetic and patient with you, and maybe this is why some appointments take longer.. but trust me they care, they care about everyone. My mom can’t speak English at all. She had an appointment there and I wasn’t with her to translate, so the doctor spoke with me over telephone which was very helpful and I really appreciated as my mom didn’t lose her appointment.

No option but to put more strain on a&e as #mordonmedicalcentre Doctors refused to see my 10 year old with breathing difficulties after being sent home from school. He was distressed and clearly couldn’t walk and breathe and turned him away.

I attended a blood test this morning only to find one of the prerequisites was not to eat post 22:00 hrs, the night before - As I wasn't briefed from the doctor (was only told to book a blood test) nor the person that booked that appointment, I wasted a valuable trip to the doctor. The nurse and the receptionist are good at apportioning responsibility onto others eg "we are just receptionist nurse, we don't know anything"; As a patient I don't want to hear its someone else's fault - try to show initial empathy and log a complaint so the surgery can learn for next time. I am going via this route as I don't trust the lady at reception, she didn't seem bothered from her body language. Implication? 1 Its wasting the opportunity for another patient to get in, sooner - I now have to book another appointment for the 2nd blood test. 2 I now have to wait longer to find out what my symptoms may be. 3 I have to work from home yet another day, time that may be sacred to be in an office as part of my job. Think smart, ask yourselves what the patients need to know ahead of an appointment as I would not have known this - empower the staff and ensure you don't blame the doctor as it is UNPROFESSIONAL - you are all paid to represent the NHS - educate the people dealing with clients to plan ahead. On a side note, when I went to see the doctor 1 week earlier, everyone at ground floor reception was bantering about random stuff and not acknowledging the patients. The lady on the first floor however, was exceptionally alert. Learn about procedures if you have time on your hands. Its not just you that demands respect, respect patients.

Normally a good quick service, however not always and i don't agree with the way you cannot book an appointment days before.
