Currently all surgeries are struggling with the increasing number of patients and the lack of qualified medical staff but Hawthorne are doing an amazing job of coping. All of the doctors, nurses and other staff go out of their way to make the system run smoothly and are so friendly and helpful. I have been coming here for years and can say nothing but good things about them.

I thought hard about leaving my personal experience here for all to see but in the end decided not to. In summary you will not get an appointment here if you are ill or work full time. You're expected to queue from 8am for 30 to 45 minutes to get an appointment. I called to get an appointment and was rejected minutes before my wife called for herself and given one the next day. The difference was she was not ill but kicked up a fuss. Inconsistency from reception staff. Rude and obnoxious Drs Negligent malpractice Unprofessional service all round In summary no appointments given. On the day appointments only for emergency but get fully booked within minutes at 830. Weekly appointments for minor things but get booked up when released. Majority of appointments given with an actual Dr tend to be waisted on reviews or poor organisation where repeat prescriptions should have been set up. They're always late even if the first appointment of the day. Repeat prescription can only be ordered via a special call centre or website. I had a good arrangrment befire with the pharmacy. It's a joke and I would not recommend this place.

I’m not sure why the answer machine got removed as it was a lot easier and better to get though to book an appointment. The reception can only do there best with the high calls.

Poor service have been waiting for 45 minutes to be seen appointment at 4 and still waiting now. Last time i come to the doctors next time ill just wait untill i need an ambulance to take me to hospital. The wait time with the depressing especially when your waiting to discuss results of a blood test. Asked reception and all i got was a load of sorrys with no insication what time i would be seen. UPDATE: visited again and absolutely perfect this time, they must have been really short staffed when my previous review was left.

Not been able to get an appointment for a while now think it's time to change practice's, had blood test but not received any results in
