The Surgery
We took occupation of our new purpose built surgery in October 2003. The building has been designed to provide a pleasant and welcoming environment and it is equipped to very high standards. There is a large car park located adjacent to the surgery. Please park considerately to allow maximum use and kindly avoid the spaces reserved for doctors who made need to get in and out in an emergency.
The area nearest the surgery enterance is reserved for disabled patients and for parents with small children. For patients who are disabled there is easy access and all consulting rooms are on the ground floor.
We are pleased to have Jardines Pharmacy incorporating the village Post Office on site. There is also a private dentist in space sub-let by the Primary Care Trust. Please note that these are not under control of the practice and any enquiries should be made directly to Jardines or the dentist.
A Partnership with Patients
We believe that looking after your health must be a partnership between the practice and you the patient. We will try to give you as much information as possible about your condition and where choices of treatment exist to explain these to you. We are now actively seeking to foster the development of a patient participation group. We aim to provide all of our patients with a high quality clinical service in a pleasant and welcoming environment.
Your own Doctor
We operate a personal doctor system. This means that you will normally be seen by your own doctor as we believe that this provides the best continuity of care. If your own doctor is not available you will be informed and told the name of the locum. In all cases however the doctor with whom you are registered will retain overall responsibility for your care. If you wish to change your personal doctor you can request to do so by letter to the Practice Manager.
Patients Responsibilities
We will treat all patients with respect and without prejudice. We request that you behave in the same way towards everyone working in the practice. In common with other parts of the NHS we have a zero tolerance policy towards aggressive or abusive behaviour which is fortunately a very rare occurrence but we wish to keep it that way. Wasted appointments are a major problem throughout the NHS. They waste the valuable time of the professional concerned and deprive other patients of an opportunity to be seen. If you find you cannot keep or no longer need an appointment please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer it to someone else. Patients who repeatedly waste appointments may after warnings be removed from our list.
Practice NHS Contract
Milton Keynes Village Practice is an independent partnership of clinicians providing NHS services in contract with NHS MK & Northamtonshire, Francis Crick House, Summerhouse Road, Moulton Park, Northampton NN3 6BF 01604 651100.

The Practice receives training from the company aggregating the data to help improve quality in its computer records. The local research ethics committee has approved the data collection scheme and no patient will be identifiable to anyone outside the practice. If you would like to opt out of this scheme please let your doctor know and no data will be collected from your records or used in research. This will not affect your care in any way.
