I am waiting for 3 hours now just for someone to confirm if I have a throat or chest infection and give me some treatment.Waiting with 36°c oscilating to 39°c and back in a spilt second.I have done a covid test at home and it was negative. When I came in at 11:30PM it was a que of 5 people, now is 2:35AM and 2 patients inside still waiting.Staff very rude and slow.
Had to wait a few hours but my daughter was seen by all who needed to see her and was even sent to see a specialist which she badly needed. They were very polite and very helpful. It was my first time in a hospital here and I loved the service
The reception staff where really friendly. I was only waiting just over an hour. The doctor I saw listened and was helpful. I was really surprised how easy the service was to use. The online 111 form was easy to use and I got a call within 30 mins to go to the walk in.
Thank you NHS for being there for a mostly ungrateful public. This service is free at the point of use, under incredible strain and we should all remember that!
Extremely long wait 5 hours on uncomfortable plastic chairs. Not really walk in centre fault ad was weekend and GP surgery's are closed so everyone goes there.
Turned up recent to have my ear checked as I had a thumping sound like my heart rate pounding away in my ear which had been going on for 4 or 5 days and was affecting my sleep and hearing. Was greeted with a stern member of staff who can’t hardly hear you because we still got to wear the mask and they are behind plastic glass, be prepared to talk loud and most of the room hearing your details and your symptoms. I then had blood pressure taken and was told it could be a 4 hour wait me. So sat down and waited, after talking with others I was told people had waited up to 7 hours before they were seen, lucky my Waite was 3 and a half hours and I saw a nurse who said my condition was tinnitus and there was nothing I can do, they didn’t let me see a GP and I went home. The following day I managed to talk to my GP to find out it was my blood pressure that was high that blood was passing through my Vains at a high rate that it cause the thumping in my ear started my new meds - guess what the thumping went, so if I had seen a GP instead of a nurse I would have been properly diagnosed.
Yes I had to wait nearly 4 hours but when I went there that's what I expected. The staff were so polite, the one thing I would change if they could would be the chairs in the waiting room, more comfortable chairs would make the waiting a little easier.
Very organised, once you register at reception you'll see a nurse who'll decide if your health issue constitutes needing to see the doctor and where you'll be placed in the queue to see the doctor. Unfortunately on busy days you can be waiting a couple of hours or 3 but it's not the nurse or doctors fault and it's not always busy weekends are the worst. The building is clean and sterile, they also have toilet facilities including wheelchair accessible. I recommend if you have to go to the walk in centre take a magazine and make sure your phone is fully charged. I've been there and I've been seen quite quickly BUT I've also had to wait ages due to severity of the other patients and I've always been treated with respect by the staff and they've always been friendly and polite.
The live feed says it was a little busy. Turned up at 10:30 am. 4 ½ hour wait in my car with my disabled daughter. In and out in 5 minute. After my experience with 111 and now this id honestly say the NHS are unfit for purpose. Especially being asked to clap these these people for the last 18 months. Im sick to death of covid constantly being blamed and used as an excuse for a utterly terrible service.
I’d say that one of the reception staff need training on how to smile and be polite to people coming in. It’s hard enough having to come in without someone to support you and shouldn’t have to deal with rudeness. Other then that, it was a fairly quick visit due to visiting in the early hours of the morning. Nurse was friendly and helpful.
