AMAZING STAFF. Currently sat on maternity ward 10 with a sick baby and spent a couple of days on maternity ward 9 before baby was born. I read the other reviews before coming to the hospital and was slightly worried. I was absolutely wrong to be worried. The staff are incredible amazing people. Every worry, concern and issue has been dealt with well. I think people’s expectation to be catered to like they are members of the royal family in a private hospital is absurd. Things take time in hospitals. Emergency’s occur and midwife’s, doctors and nurses have to respond accordingly. Yes some things have taken longer than I would have liked but again they are extremely busy people. The care for my wife and baby have been first class. Treat the staff how you want to be treated and not like how I assume the people leaving one star reviews did. To reiterate I’ve met a lot of the staff here now and not one bad egg in here.
I’m so surprised to see negative reviews and felt I need to comment on here.nWe are from the West Midlands,Dudley, we came up to visit family when my elderly father became very poorly. Our knowledge of hospital’s is Newcross and Russell’s Hall, Birmingham orthopaedic.nI can honestly say dad has never had such impeccable care.nFrom the minute dad was admitted, he was immediately checked for all symptoms and pain management, It became apparent dad was symptomatic of sepsis which is time critical.nWithin the hour of admittance, dad was on a drip, pain management taken for X-ray and on IV antibiotics.nStaff have kept us up to date and every time we were concerned, they attended to his needs and actioned medical care, ie stronger pain meds, and called the doctor, dad had major stomach pain, he was admitted onto a ward, he then quickly took a dip where he was struggling to breath, there was no hesitation, he had oxygen support and nebulisers, and constant updates, at no point was it too much trouble for the staff, to update us, the stomach pain continued, pain management and a CT scan was organised promptly.nFrom this we were told the source of dads sepsis was from his gallbladder, he was admitted Sunday we’re now on Wednesday AM.nWe were told they had tried to manage with strong antibiotics but it’s not going the right way, and removal of his gallbladder was totally risky but his best chance of getting over this.n3 surgeons sat with us and went through every detail, from the negatives, the positives and what to expect. Within 2 hours dad was taken for surgery and thankfully he’s still with us, our journey is not over, he’s now in intensive care and again staff are amazing, professional, totally informative constantly and show they care and we’re just not another number in the hospital.nMy dad has been in hospital numerous times over the years he’s already got so many coo morbidities, so you can imagine the risks, the worry and the not knowing and feeling helpless.nDads on his 4th Ward since Sunday that’s a ward a day due to his needs of care changing and staff changing to appropriate ward to meet his care needs, that’s how fast they actioned his needs.nEVERY ward he’s been on since admittance has given 100% care, support, both medically and emotionally.nI can only give this hospital and every member of staff that has been involved with our dads care has been amazing, I can’t thank you all enough, and hopefully we will be taking my father home soon and we only have the hospital and the staff to thank for that.nKeep doing what your doing, your literally saving lives, and thank you from my whole family’s heart x
I had to visit A&E this evening as I was in a lot of pain due to a bladder issue. It was extremely busy due to the junior doctors strike. The nurses were really organised, I was triaged quickly and my issue was resolved very quickly.nThere was a 6 hour wait to see a doctor. As I was only waiting for the results of my blood test, I was given the option to go home and get the results tomorrow through my GP.nThe nurses were under a lot of pressure, but were coping extremely well. They are definately work more than a 5% pay rise!nThank you
Nurses behaviour is not great at all, waiting times are horrendous just for a scan, definitely wouldn't want to return here again, unless there will be signs of improvement. terrible service. I understand the demand for NHS is more than supply but a smile goes a long way. This nurse was not friendly at all, im sure she has been working here for quite some time.
If the hospital staff used their energy to treat patients rather than gaslight people into thinking their pain isn’t that bad, they would get so much more done. I waited six months just to be ignored and told that my pain couldn’t be as bad as I said. Apparently, bleeding isn’t something that requires help either.nTo top it all off, I was told that the prescription I needed was too expensive for someone like me to have.nNo help with the issue, no pain relief—but at least they got out of having to treat me, which was obviously their goal all along and forced me back to my doctors to be referred to another hospital.nnIt would have got zero stars. I gave it one as it was easy enough to park
