My ribeye steak at Miller and Carter was delicious, perfectly cooked and paired with a crushed peppercorn sauce. The others at our table were all equally impressed with their orders whether it was vegetarian or meat. You really can't go wrong here. Just make sure you book before coming or you might not get a seat.

Visited Chelmsford restaurant today - 8th April and once again, was not disappointed. The starters and steak mains tasted fresh and were cooked just as we requested and were served hot by attentive and extremely polite staff. Not cheap but certainly good value for money - will certainly return again soon. Lovely meal in nice ambience with excellent staff.

Top place. Love it. Good food (hot food) good drink. Friendly service. Nice and quiet to relax and enjoy day out. One of my favourite restaurants.

Good service throughout our visit. Warm and friendly welcome from the hostess despite us being in sports attire. Quickly shown to our table and introduced to our waitress who was polite and suggested some items to order. We ordered The lunchtime set menu. The food was great quality. One small issue with the bill that was quickly fixed by the staff. There are better streak restaurants out there but for the quality, price and proximity this is a really good option.

Celebrating a friend's birthday with 2 families we visited the chelmer village Miller and Carter. We have been here many times and always enjoyed the experience. However it seems the new manager has started to dismiss children as they are clearly not wanted anymore. We had a drink in the bar before we sat down then proceeded to have our meal which was good as ever. Then we informed the waitress that we would be moving to the bar for a drink following our meal...sorry sir you are not allowed children in the bar unless your waiting for a table...Just spent £250 on a meal and our children will have to wait outside in the snow if we want another drink...madness and common sense gone mad. We tried to reason about how stupid the rule is but to no avail. 6 years we have done the same night and this year kids are banned, no new laws exist just petty management. Eventually booked a cab and left...so wont be returning which is a shame. They made it very clear they want this to be an adults restaurant/bar and no kids.
