This is a ticketless parking located in walking distance to the Cardiff bay. Good amount of parking is available and safe. There’s enough paying machines at the end of the parking. Need to pay when you are leaving only.
Pick a sunny day, and the memory of your visit to Cardiff Bay will forever stay with you! It’s a fantastic place full of energy, beauty, light, sea, wooden walks around the water, restaurants, pubs and bars with terraces overlooking the bay. There are still small parts under structural improvement but what has been done so far, has been done with a lot of thought, imagination, fun and aesthetics: a little stature here, and a little overhanging balcony there, it will constantly amuse the new comer. There are even smaller replicas of Big Ben and the London Eye. Full of vibe, full of life. Food and drinks for every taste and requirement.nA small note: very soon the bay will need way more parking spaces than what is provided for visitors at the moment. Cardiff is notorious for the strict parking restrictions, but it needs to allow more spaces for visitors to enjoy the city as much as the residents do.nUpdate - August 2023nCardiff Bay is beautiful even in a cloudy and rainy morning.
Always plenty of spaces there easy access close to all attractions not many tourist know about this car park that's why you'll always find some spaces there. just 2min walk look from techniquest and maybe 5 from main bay area. not overpriced and really good spot!
There was a fearsome looking spider clinging on to the car next to where I parked, sporting a myriad of colours that make you think ey up that fella could be lethal. I know better than to mess with the natural kingdom even when it strives into my vicinity. I’ve seen enough Steve Irwin. I opted to wait it out as me and the little guy locked eyes in tandem fear and curiosity.nnSix hours this lasted and when the attendant came over he started bellowing that I was a ‘little pansy’ who didn’t deserve to grace this car park and demanded that I leave at once. I pointed out that surely the spider can’t have paid for his parking so how is it the one who gets to stay? To which the attendant aggressively slapped the hood of my slick whip and with his megaphone called over anyone else who was lurking around the car park to come and laugh at me.nnI have to say the experience didn’t make me feel like much of a mermaid. Then they even tried to make me pay for the spider who apparently had been here ‘thirteen millennia’ now. Sure, there are gaps in my knowledge of the evolution of spider and the minutiae of various spider families but at the end of the day mushrooms and aubergines are cousins so can’t we all just get along?
Very convenient parking ,near to Techniquest, and the bay.nLoved this place.nThe motor boat ride across the bay was fantastic, exhilarating, whipping across the water with some tight turns thrown in for extra excitement
