We came on National coach holiday for the weekend and found d the hotel very nice, good food and rooms very clean. The beds are very spacious but the duvet cover was very thick which hampered sleeping. But overall very nice hotel to stay

A really warm and natural welcome was received here. The staff seemed genuine. The beds were comfy and the family room large. The windows to our room were quite drafty and the seals had gone. Luckily it was Christmas day night so the traffic was minimal! Breakfast at £11 per adult (free for kids) wasn't the best. Don't get me wrong it wasn't horrible but ok at best. The dining room was spacious and warm and again the staff were very helpful. Pain free and speedy check out and being out of the room for 11am meant no rushing. Overall. Good to get your head down. Go elsewhere for breakfast.

Great value. Fantastic swimming pool with attentive staff. Great gardens around the hotel too. Highly recommended for a relaxing break, or even just passing through.

The positive aspects first: + the rooms that go to the back are quiet + I like the thick carpets + Mexican, Italian, French, Chinese and Indian nights were great + the chairs on the seminar rooms are quite comfy + the staff were very helpful and attentive Now for the bad news: - the surrounding area is not a place to go on a holiday. In other words it is rather dull - the carpets on the stairs to the lower floors need to be replaced - we have had mold in our bathroom - the shower cabins in the swmming pool have rust on the ceiling - the surface around the swimming pool is very slippery - WiFi should be faster - English breakfast. I would have preferred more fresh fruit and fresh bread - I would not normally go to a restaurant with English or American cuisine - kicking guests out of the breakfast room at 8.30 because other guests come in is a clear no-go To sum up, I would prefer a new two-star hotel to an old three-star one.

Good gym, nice staff, good service. Main negative is that the room that I was in needed a refurb as certain things looked quite dated, particularly the bathroom. Also had to keep going to reception as my key card stopped working nearly every night I was there, which was a pain as I was on the top floor!
