I'd only popped into Haigh Hall just for a quick look around the grounds with my wife and realised that we were a bit peckish so decided to nip in for a spot of lunch as it was a nice day. The staff there were very attentive and met our needs perfectly, absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Quick, responsive and service with a smile. You can tell everyone really takes pride in their work here especially the chef's. Speaking of which, the food was absolutely to die for! Some top quality dining right here. Highly recommended for anyone living nearby or guests.

I hadn't visited the Haigh Hall courtyard in years. It is so nice now. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Two Left Feet Brewery Tap. The choice of beers for such a small bar was superb!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Nearby is beautiful countryside like rivington so I advise you find a more suitable hotel..The hotel inside seems ok however the outside is nothing like the photo advertised on the website. The view up to the hall shows only beautiful lawns and trees giving it the feeling of a country park. In reality the view is of a narrow road with painted lines, parked cars, bare trees and logging. The lawns have been torn up to accommodate more parking area and gives what once was a beautiful view into nothing more than a car park. I would not recommend staying here.

This is a perfect place to bring the little ones, there is a newly installed play area and high rope area.The gardens and woodland walks are lovely, there is plenty of choice for somewhere to eat or get a cuppa! If your a keen golfer there is a challenging 18hole course .There is also a little train that runs on certain days and to top it off you can access the canal and enjoy a lovely walk along the banks of the canal

Excellent venue - I attended a Christmas Party function here last night. The attention to detail on the restoration done so far is very high. It appears that no expense has been spared so far however, there is still restoration works going on around the hotel so only a handful of rooms is ready for guests. Every room has high quality furnishings and lighting (i believe most of the chandeliers are the originals from the hall back in the day). I have also been told, the bathroom doors in the guest rooms are bullet proof which have been reclaimed from the house of the king of Saudi Arabia. Would return without a shadow of a doubt especially to see the finished article.
