Thought we'd try something different in the Winstanley area with friends.nIt was lovely, a great surprise.nThe tables are spaced well apart.nThe music wasn't loud so we could hear each other.nThe young staff were friendly and helpful.nWe chose a different starter each and all 3 were excellent.nnMy friends chose the hot stone steaks which they both enjoyed.nnI chose the Cumberland sausages plus pork belly without the chillies.nnThe pork belly really wasn't great really let the meal down.nnGreat evening we look forward to returning.
Toby Carvery who?! If you’re looking for the best Sunday roast you’ve ever had, this is DEFINITELY the place and I am so proud to call this my local! I’ve been a couple of times now since moving to the Wigan area, I’ve even had family and friends come from Nottingham, London and Ireland and all of them have agreed that this is the No 1. Place for a roast - quick service, friendly staff, great value for money and clean plates from start to finish! I will not be going anywhere else 10/10
Hands down the best restaurant I’ve dined in so far. I have been here twice within two months because their Friday lunch deal is extremely delicious, the atmosphere is spot on and the service is excellent. Last Friday we came to celebrate my dad’s birthday with a meal and another special occasion and we received a warm welcome even though we were running late and had to amend our booking twice due to a medical emergency.nThey had set our table nicely, put my son‘s highchair there as per request. Drinks and food were amazing and very filling. The team went above and beyond to get our orders in before the lunch cut off time and we even had dessert and a surprise dessert for my dad. They all made it so special and worth coming there. I highly recommend this restaurant to families, couples, friends - it’s the place to be. Great value for money, extraordinary hospitality, simply top. Thank you to the team for this unforgettable day.
We visited last Sunday on the way through to an overnight stay 30 minutes away from the restaurant, it was a must for us as we had seen some amazing reviews online for this place. With the restaurant sadly 3.5 hours from home we knew we had to try it and we were not disappointed!!nMy roast was nothing short of amazing, I added cauliflower cheese and WOW. The dessert was incredible, staff even kindly put a candle in it for my birthday. The roast was the nicest, tastiest roast I’ve ever had including the Cauliflower cheese. Everything was faultless, it had so much flavour and value for money on the Sunday lunch menu is brilliant. If we’re ever out this way again then we will absolutely be visiting again in a heart beat. The only thing which was disappointing is the fact you’re so far away from home.
Been a few times now to this place, the early evening menu is great with plenty choice, great taste and good size portions. Regular menu changes so always something new to choose. The young staff are always helpful and friendly. Been clean each time we have visited. Our work also attended for our end of year meal, so large group, no problems at all great service, all plates, desserts, drinks on top of, no waiting. Had a great night definitely would return and recommend.
