Always find the most gorgeous pieces here!! The staff is friendly and happy to help with styling. My fav shop.
Felt really pressurised into buying an item by both of the staff, proper hardcore sales tactics, took it back the next day as it didn't fit, they refused a refund, this goes against everything good about independent businesses and the law. They really embarrassed me In the shop, even phoning the owner to ask if they could give a refund and she said no. They did not say no refunds on sale items when I bought it. They should have said. Avoid this place.
My friend and I recently shopped here, we love this shop. We couldn’t let our recent visit go by without thanking Abby for her attentive, friendly and considerate service. She is a great example of going the extra mile! Thanks again, we’ll be back!

Today I went in looking for a jumper. When I left the shop and started to walk away, I heard shouting from inside the shop. I went back to look in and the lady running the shop screamed at the top of her voice “It would be nice to be acknowledged. You come in, you don’t say hi, ignored me and I said hi”. I remembered when I visited the shop, she was busy on her laptop. I said “I literally didn’t hear you” because I really didn’t hear a thing when I was in there. She then repeatedly yelled at me, along the lines of, “you just come into my shop, my business and you don’t acknowledge me” I was so shocked. She then shouted “I’m having a bad day, sorry.” But it wasn’t apologetic just an attack. My heart was racing and I felt sick. There’s no way I’ll visit again!
Lovely shop, beautiful clothes, some friendly staff.... Unfortunately I'm put off by the pressure to buy and the constant grabbing of items by a certain staff member and telling me 'this £200 jumper would go well' or 'do you like this' or 'this would suit you' etc....when I just want to look and not have suggestive selling shoved in my face. It's really overwhelming, needs to be turned down a notch,as I will no longer visit. Ironically I would buy more, if it wasn't for the 'trying to be friendly and subtle' yet transparent hard sell.
I love everything about McQueen. The staff, their range, values, ethos - it's a shopping experience in the very best sense of the word. Consultation & styling come if you want to stretch your boundaries a little further too. Delighted to see masks are still a requirement too but wouldn't expect anything different from a responsible independent retailer.
As ever, a brilliant shopping experience with McQueens. This place is a massive favourite of my whole family. Forget the mainstream. Independents rule. You will always find something amazing here for yourself or as a present for a loved one. Buy less. Buy better.
This shop caters for women and men who want to dress well, sustainably and in really interesting clothes. They stock few copies of each garment, usually sourced from UK or Northern European suppliers. The clothes make you feel and look great! Staff are super helpful and non judgemental, they have opinions, expressed well, to help you, and yet you never feel compelled to buy. Top place! Go and invest in an outfit or single item that will become an instant favourite.
Amazing store with beautifully selected product. Staff are so helpful & always on hand for styling tips & advice whenever I’ve needed it : xx
