When me and my partner go to this store we like to indulge a little every now and then .. now Usually day to day I dress very casual due to the fact I get ink on most of my clothing at work .. each time iv been and looked this disheveled mess the staff have still been super lovely and nice to me .. today we went in and again I was not in best attire but staff were lovely .. I had put weight on at a fast rate lately and I have been super self conscious and refuse to wear dresses, so instead I was looking at track suits that were a bit different … but do to my Petite size and weight gain I didn’t look good in any of them .. the asked what I was actually looking for .. when I explained I had a meal and I didn’t like my body .. well they were having none of it .. a blonde lady with impeccable style and the only gentleman there got to work pulling dresses from there stock not on show , dresses they felt would suit not only my body but my alternative style as well as ones I thought would suit but really didn’t .. when I felt like giving up they didn’t .. they were pulling mannequins apart to get dress’s off .. by the end of it all I left with some beautiful items that look great on me and they gave me insight to what works with my body and what is usually stocked in different pattens for future purchases … I feel because if my casual entrance also my defeatist attitude they could have presumed I didn’t want to purchase anything and was just wasting their time so they could have left me to it at any point .. but they didn’t .. and they also helped my partner with a jumper that wasn’t on display .. their customer service was impeccable .. this ment a lot more to me than they realise and given me even more confidence with shopping with them
If you are thinking to work for the amazing Vivienne Westwood store be cautious this is not her store this is just a shop that sells her products. If she knew how the owner Richard was treating the staff she would be shocked given her image. Richard owner is nothing more than an aggressive abusive bully. I’ve seen how he treats people and from my personal experience he has huge personal issues.
I've always felt very self conscious about shopping in this store...even in my younger years because the staff make you feel very unwelcome if you are not dressed up to the nines or look a certain way...just to go shopping. I visited, intending to purchase a bag, but they did not have it on the shop floor, so I had to ask for assistance. The first person didn't have a clue what I was on about, the one by the till was eavesdropping did. I proceeded to google it to show them the stock they really should know about and they reluntantly went to go get it. They only had the large version in stock which when I saw it in my hands vs seeing it online, was way too big, so I asked for the smaller one. They didn't have it. No offer to track a small size down for me, nothing. I said I would get it online. They immediately, turned around and off they went when they realised I would not be purchasing anything from the store. I bought said bag online. I have purchased this brand for many years, because I like the style - but only go into this store when absolutely necessary when I need to see and feel the product. The type of people who work here, while faces change, the attitude, unfortunately has not, which is a damn shame! Because the staff walk around as if they own the place - when, probably the only way they can afford to shop here themselves is due to generous staff discounts or getting it free as staff uniform. They do certainly look down their noses at the people.
Great staff, lovely surroundings, really suits the quirkiness that is Vivienne Westwood. Nice place to go, an enjoyable shopping experience.
Gentleman who worked in the store was fantastic. The lady however needs to remember she doesn’t own Vivienne Westwood, she works there Walking passed customers wanting to spend money is a massive no no in retail. Thanks again to the gentleman for his service!
I visit this store each time I'm in town and would like to say that the staff provide the best customer service I have ever experienced. The Spring Gardens store has a great range of men's and women's clothes along with an excellent jewellery selection. Friendly staff are a great asset to the brand, especially James whose gift wrapping is to Olympic standard...
So disappointed with the Vivienne Westwood shopping experience. I bought a shirt full price when I tried to exchange for a larger size I was given a credit note and told to come back in a month!!!! I came back to the shop a few days later asking if they could order it. I was advised to go on line. This might incur an additional fee for posting! I asked for the manager who said she would try and sort. The staff are very good at smiling but have no customer relation skills and obviously do not know the system for returning any goods. I hope I get my shirt soon as I couldn't face another visit to that shop.
I have always worn Vivienne Westwood clothes its one of my favourite brands. BUT i went into this shop and 5 minutes later i walked out disappointed and angry. The staff are not helpful,the worst have ever met ,They where not helpful at all and there was hardly anything in the mens section. Much better just to buy online , will not be returning
Visited this store whilst down in Manchester after Christmas to do some sales shopping with my girlfriend, when we walked in we were warmly welcomed by majority of the staff and they were all very helpful, indicating what was on sale and what wasn't on sale whilst we were just looking around the shop without us asking, when my girlfriend was looking at the jewellery one kind member of staff informed us that there were more on sale downstairs. When we went downstairs, we were followed by an older member of staff who wasn't wearing the uniform all the other staff were, so I think she might have been the store manager. As she followed us down the stairs, in a very rude tone she said "What are you even looking for here?" my girlfriend kindly replied that we were just browsing for now, but she still insisted that she kept a close eye on us, as if she thought we would have stolen something. After a few minutes of browsing the jewellery and the clothing I saw a white top, I asked the women if there was anyplace I could try it on, after trying the top on I walked to where the mirror was outside of the changing room, and to show my girlfriend what it looks like and in a very harsh and rude tone the women said "Is something the problem? Do you want to ask about something? Are you going to take the shirt or not?" which is awfully rude and disrespectful, so I asked about a pair of white high top shoes in a glass cabinet, she took around 10-30mins to go get them in my size, and when she came back she only gave me one shoe to try on, with no shoe horn or anything, she then just stood by the register huffing and puffing, with the occasional tut as I was walking around to check the fit, as well as discussion the shoes with my girlfriend. I had decided to purchase the high tops and the teeshirt, even with the awful service I have received from her, when it came to her packaging the shoes she decided it was appropriate to just throw the high tops in the shoe box with complete disregard of any damage, or anything. The shirt on the other hand was completely perfectly wrapped by a shop assistant. I can safely say, due to this woman's attitude myself and the girlfriend felt completely unwelcome, to the point where I wasn't even going to buy the goods I did but they were too nice, and I can also say that I will not be going back to that store for a long time. Worst service by a manager I have ever experienced, not only in a designer store but in any store for a VERY VERY long time.
What a Team! - Apologies this should have been done a long time ago. As a frequent visitor to the Manchester store I would recommend the service and experience!!. The team represent the brand and values to the highest degree, by far the best Vivienne Westwood store in the UK and I have frequented many stores. Thank you so much for all your help and fantastic service
