McDermotts Fish & Chips Ltd

Simply the best fish and chips around. Of course it’s easy to say this statement on any fish and chippie but if you really are looking for something special then you must try this place! So yes the prices are higher than your local but this place hasn’t won Awards because it cooks from frozen, it’s all FRESH. The difference in eating from fresh is huge and is worth the long queues and the extra £. Normally I get a takeaway but if this will be your first visit then be prepared for: a queue (although the wait is not that long as they have a very efficient system to get customers through and not waiting ages for their food!). You can also dine in but because I haven’t tried this service I can’t comment but assume it will be of the same standard of fish! Also if driving, their is a car park out front but on a busy night it maybe be limited space but again it’s more likely its customers from here so you won’t have too wait too long for a space to become available. I also recommend the home made tartar sauce. So to conclude, just give this place a try and if you feel it’s not worth it, then you can always go back to your local...

I’ve had fish and chips from many places in London and the UK but this is still the best. I’ve been coming here for several years and I think everyone should try their amazing, juicy fish and chips!

The quality of the outside is matched inside. A takeaway section separates the restaurant with a solid wall so no noise can enter. Easily one of the best fish and chips restaurant I've been to. You won't be disappointed NM

My first visit here. It was amazing! So clean , friendly staff. Fantastic food. Fish was amazing.
